My Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers is “On Press” Today!

It won’t be long now; as my “Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers” is on press today, and should be in bookstores in just a couple of weeks.

The new version of the book not only adds the important new features of CS3, but I’ve learned SO much since the CS2 version of the book was published (believe it or not, that was back in April of 2005), that I wound up rewriting about 70% of the book from scratch. Plus, I wanted one place where the entire process “comes together” I added a new workflow chapter at the end of the book, that shows my own step-by-step digital photography workflow, which you can use as a starting place for building your own.

You can preorder the book and be among the first to get it as soon as it comes off press, over at either Barnes & Noble.com or Amazon.com, or you can find it in bookstores in just a few weeks. :-)

>> There’s more Lightroom 1.1 news today, so scroll down to the next post to catch that action.

    Hi Scott:

Good MORNING.Glad to see the news.I wish I can find the book (for Chinese Version, of course)in my local bookstores.
I’ve Installed Photoshop CS2 in my computer. But I still know few about Photoshop.I’ll learn How-to by reading your book.I’ll learn more English words by reading your web.
I must say:I like you,my friend in another side of the world.
I enjoy this feeling:Internet makes the plant small, and love makes the world warm.
    Thanks for your book!

    Hi Scott,

Can’t see any reference to the available pdf update to your Lightroom book as mentioned yesterday. I am missing something? Regards.

    To Alan:
See the note at the end of the Lightroom 1.1 post from earlier today. :)

    To Bao:
How nice to hear from a reader from China. Most of my books are translated into Chinese, so it shouldn’t be too long before you have a Chinese language version. Also, I agree: the Internet does make the planet small, and love does make the world warm. My very best to you and your family. :)

Thanks Scott - don’t know how I missed that or did you craftily sneak it in later? :-) I notice that someone else missed it also looking in a previous blog posting. Enjoy your day.

Dude, you are one prolific man. I have no idea how you manage to get it all done and still have time for family and fun. I suspect it’s because you’re a sick, sick, man and you enjoy the hard work. Well good on ya, lad! We’re all richer for your hard work -thanks for the unending inspiration and teaching!

    Congrats. Another best-seller, no doubt.

Hi Scott. I have many of your books and videos over the years. I have a question on your lightroom book. On page 184, about e-mailing photos through a droplet. I was able to do it, but when I select more than one photo in lightroom and export. When outlook comes up only one photo is set to be emailed. What did I miss? Is there a setting in outlook? Thanks. I am waiting for your new book.

    Scott,

Can you recommend a Photoshop book specifically for web designers? I love the format of your PS for photographers books, but need something specifically for web.

    Thanks!
    Mike
