Hey Scott,

Glad to hear you are finally making it to the great white north. Though, lately it certainly has been anything but white. The weather has been fantastic, though in New England no one ever knows how long that will last. In any event, I hope you get to spend some quality lens time in our great state. I will be around for most of the next two weeks, so if you are able to break away from your beautiful cabin give me a shout and we can try to meet up for a shoot.

Enjoy your trip.

Hi Scott,
I hope you and family have a wonderful vacation in my state of Maine. We are all marveling at how glorious the weather has been the past few weeks (and the black-flies are gone too!!). (I live just 6 miles inland from Waldoboro, 30 min south of Rockport/Camden) If you find yourself on Rt. 1 passing thru Waldoboro, take time to stop at Moody's diner for some of their great pie! You deserve it :-)
 Thanks for all you do!

To John:
I actually use Apple's iPhoto to create albums and upload them to my iPhone, but you can just upload directly from a folder from Apple's iTunes software. As for Aperture; I do use it for creating pro-quality photo books---they're really great, but for everything else I use Lightroom and Photoshop CS3.

To Julie:
It's true---we share the same Birthday, so....Happy Birthday to You! :-)

To Jason:
Right back at ya----keep up the great work on your blog. :)

All my best,

-Scott

Enjoy the vacation you deserve it. Maine sounds much better then the weather we are having here in Tampa Bay.

Hi Scott,

A vacation in the north away from the semi-tropics is a new thought for me. I always attempt to go south to either Tampa (Wife's family) or the Caribbean for a vacation. I really can't wait to see your pictures.

See ya in Vegas!!

Scot, I enjoy many blogs and all the varied viewpoints. I rarely comment except in this case your giving more credence to the legal side of the photograph. Sure it is important, and necessary, and needs to be watched. At the same time we do not need even more lawyers embroiling everything we do to legal forms and "fear" of being sued. Soon we will need to bring a lawyer with us on a shoot. I have been shooting for 41 years and when I felt there was a potential for trouble I asked for a release. In all those years that has added up to about 12. I have never been sued or threatened. Why? Common sense beats a lawyer every time. Think before you shoot.

Hey Scott. You say you use an iPhone, but how are you getting your photos onto there? I mean, using a Mac, you HAVE to use Apple software to show your photos on your iPhone. So, does that mean you're using Aperture, instead of Adobe Lightroom??
