It’s Official: “Photoshop User TV†is On The Air!

“The Photoshop Guys” have a new TV studio, a new set and new look, and today we’re revealing our long-awaited our new official name, which is “Photoshop User TV” (produced by Photoshop User Magazine and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals–NAPP). S0, the name NAPP TV rides off into the sunset, as Photoshop User TV goes “On The Air!”
Now, because I’m on vacation I honestly have no earthly idea where they taped this show this past week’s episode, so I’ll be downloading it just too see what they came up with. When I get back from vacation, we’ll be putting the finishing touches on the new studio, and kicking off the new set and look, so I’m really excited to get back and see how it’s progressed, but since the name is now official, I thought I’d “spill the beans” here on the blog.
Thanks so much to all our viewers who’ve been so patient through our name changes, and we hope you enjoy our new look, new tutorials, new tips, new tricks, and the same ol’ cheesy jokes, delivered by the same ol’ cheesy guys.

Scott,
Now that Photoshop User TV is out of the way how about also starting Layers TV – a podcast about the rest of the Adobe software. It will be a great next thing to get started on.
I love your show, but I have one problem with it. Since you started adding clickable links, it is next to impossible to watch on slower Macs. I have no trouble playing full screen HD, but that H.264 with overlays gives me unbearable stuttering. Any chance for an alternate feed with old codec?
I’m glad you changed it to PhotoshopUserTV. Even though I can appreciate NAPP trying to make their brand more obvious it was making me sleepy!
Seriously I appreciated you changing it back to something focused on the customer instead of the company. I’m looking forward to the new episodes but I got a kick out of the episode long “joke” from last week with them at their desks from “remote locations.”
PS. As for my specs: it’s dual G4, so nothing hot by todays standards, but should be enough to play a lowres video? I can edit full HD on it so
Congrats on the new studio! Can’t wait to see it – I just wanted to say that the show if very entertaining and informative – Thanks for all of the pointers!
Here’s something you might want to share with the viewers – really funny YouTube video – “Mac and PC Rap” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jkrn6ecxthM
Any chance for an answer about that codec problem Scott? I mean – “no, we wont do another feed with standard codec and no clickable overlays” is an anwser too – better then no answer at all
Jack,
First off, Scott’s away on vacation so let’s enjoy – I mean, let’s let him enjoy his break… from people like me.
Anyway, I tried a different format for clickable links on this week’s show, but I’m not certain how much of a difference it will make. Previously, when magnifying the old version, the more you zoomed, the worse it got, I know. But since it’s meant to be viewed as 640×360, and clicks are so popular, it’s difficult for us to cover all ranges. I will tell you that I saw a difference when I tested it fullscreen on a dual 2.0 G5.
We’re trying to keep a format that covers as wide of an audience as possible and stay innovative with the technology… all while still being as goofy as we possibly can.
Hopefully that helps!
