Final Shots from Maine (Click for larger version)
This is from Saturday night, and what I like best about it; I didn’t pump up the color in Photoshop (in fact, I did all the processing in Lightroom, and didn’t touch the Vibrance, Saturation, or HSL controls whatsoever—the light was that great!). The only adjustments were Exposure, Shadows, and sharpening. It was taken about 30 minutes after sunset, shot on a tripod (of course), and I was aided by a dedicated squadron of mosquitoes determined to make sure I didn’t shoot for 35 minutes after sunset.
I have a couple other shots from Maine (below) from my final set, so scroll down to see those.

Hi Scott,
There’s been some nice images here in the past few days, but I think this one is my favourite.
Sean.
Ditto:
It should be aptly named “Staircase (well, not quite, but you get my drift) To Heaven”.
This picture evokes an indescribable response from me. Great shot!!

I like this one, nice colors and your eye is leading you to the boats and the sky. Well done.
I just wanted to say That I love love love The Digital Photography book!!
I have learned so much & I am only on page 19. Thanks
Hey Scott, Great photos from Maine. Makes me want to go there…
How would you feel about showing a before and after on one of your photos sometime, detailing the changes you made in Lightroom or Photoshop and a brief explanation of why you did what you did. I for one would really appreciate something like that.
Scott,
Beautiful image. My hope is to gain that level of proficiency with Lightroom (in time; I am just a ‘newbie’ with it). I heard that a magazine devoted exclusively to Lightroom, called Darkroom, is either going to be published or has recently been. Yet when I try to go to http://www.DarkroomMagazine.com, I instead get shunted to the NAPP website on which there is no mention of this ‘new magazine.’ Since I have no interest in joining NAPP (for now, because I cannot yet afford to buy the full Photoshop package), how much will a subscription to Darkroom cost (for a non-NAPP member), and where can one submit such a subscription request?
