CS3 Book Alert!
Aug. 3
11:10 am
I just got an email from a reader who noted that Barnes & Noble.com has my “Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers” in stock and ready to ship. Here’s the link!

In the words of Chris Orwig…..YAAAAHHHWHOOOO!!!!
Whatever happened to my pre-ordered one (first of June) ??
Got this email from amazon today…
Scott Kelby (Author) “The Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital
Photographers (Voices That Matter)” [Paperback]
Estimated arrival date: 09/06/2007 - 09/20/2007
Scott,
Thank you for the update. Cancelled my Amazon pre-Order (wondering if any advantage exists with preOrdering anymore as more often than not, I seem to end up at the back of the queue instead of the front… why does Amazon seem to have such a hard time anymore getting their hands on high demand product… ) and purchased via B&N. I am much looking forward to this update to frankly what I think is just one of the best Photoshop Books on the planet. I tell folks all the time that after you finish whatever PS primer ( I love Deke’s stuff for this), GO GET SCOTT KELBY’S PHOTOSHOP BOOK because it teaches you how to solve 90% of the issues you WILL face with regards to digital image editing. No one has ever been upset that I did so.
Keep up the amazing work!! Thanks for all you do.

I too just got an email in the last day or two that my order from Amazon was getting bumped from its early August ship date and now has an estimate of Sept 4-17th.
Can’t print them fast enough, huh.
When can I expect to receive your Photoshop CS3 book that I pre-ordered from NAPP? You haven’t mentioned purchasing through NAPP.
Hi Scott,
I didn’t get an e-mail from Amazon about another postponed shipment, but after reading the other comments, I too cancelled my Amazon order. I will pick mine up at the local B&N of Norman Oklahoma as soon as it arrives. I learned more from your CS2 book than any other source, except the NAPP website of course. My mouth is watering with anticipation.
See ya in Vegas!!! Woo Hoo!!
Mike
It’s times like this, a much need trip to the States is called for :o) No news when Amazon UK will have the book in, ready for shipping, so I guess I’ll have to keep chewing on them fingernails in anticipation.
I have had the book on back order with Amazon since May 25th. Like others have mentioned, they tell me I won’t get my delivery until after 9/6. Grrrr…..
I’ll go check out B&N.
Amazon’s “My Account” information (I didn’t get an email) tells me I am still in line for an August 8 shipping date. That’s probably because I entered the pre-order long, long ago.
Went to Barnes and Noble last night but they don’t have it on the shelves.
This is just a little question, if you haven’t read the CS2 book, would it be smarter to go for the CS3 version instead or would I miss a lot of things that’s been covered up in the CS2 book?
Hay Scott,
Just finished your Lightroom book, and looking forward to your CS3 book which I have had on order for a while now.
This is probably not the place to ask the following questions, but I am sure you will edit the following out :-).
The Photoshop User mag, now being sent electronically to Australia. I sent an email through the normal channels, but only received a form letter back which did not address my concerns. Can I ask, would you give up your hard copy? I have offered to pay for the postage even though I subscribed and paid for postage in the first place. I have asked if that is not suitable, can it be posted to my friend in Texas, and I will pay for the postage from there. I am feeling ripped off when you state you have never increased the cost to you members, but is this at the expense of your lesser valued international members?
Sorry Scott, I hold a hell of a lot of respect for you, but at the moment, I am just a little bit more than just angry.
Regards,
Mitch Graham.
I previously posted that I was still in line for an Aug. 8 delivery of Scott’s book. Just now I have received an e-mail from Amazon telling me the release date has changed to Aug. 23, which of course is not true. I canceled and will watch the shelves of Barnes and Noble, which do not contain the book. Here in Maryland the store says they expect it Aug. 10.
Had a note today from Amazon UK to say mine was shipping and I should have it no later than Friday. UK post service notwithstanding. Can’t wait to see the new techniques.
Oh for another photography book Scott, any chance of some other techniques like using flash etc.
Ditto…had an email to say I should have it by the end of this week (fingers crossed)
well would you look at that. Despite the Sept. delivery timeframe I noted above the book was shipped from Amazon [US] yesterday and arrived today. Looking forward to working through it.
