News Quickies

By Scott on Friday, August 31st, 2007 at 8:25 am | updates.

Here’s some quick news bits:

Renown landscape photographer Stephen Johnson has a nice interview over at the DIMAcast Podcast. Check out it right here.

I mentioned this photography site earlier in the year, but I just went and visited to “A walk through Durham Township” again, and there’s lots of wonderful new images. Take a moment to soak in some of this beautiful photography. It’ll do ya good. :)

Designorati reviewed three Lightroom Books (Rob Sheppard’s, Martin Evening’s, and mine), and did a  comparison of how the three tackle the topic in different ways. You can read it here.

That’s it for today, folks. I’m off to Photoshop World next week, and I can’t wait to see everybody there! Have a safe, fun Holiday weekend! :)

I read the reviews by Designorati. Personally I love your witty style and it’s why I buy your books over others. :)

FWIW Scott, your “witty style” is what drives me to your books and I read and love everyone of them. Though we’ve never met (something I hope to correct in the future) your writing style makes me feel like I’ve known you (and your family) for years! Keep up the GREAT work and I’ll continue to read, watch, and attend all the many things you do!

P.S. Bring the Lightroom tour to NC !!!

How do I find your 28-page Lightroom 1.1 update to your Lightroom book?

I found your post on getting the Lightroom update. But the link to your update on the PeachPit page under My Registered Products is no longer there. I sent an inquiry to Peachpit.

On a whim I decided to click “validate your e-mail address.” Presto. The “My Registered Products” view then offered me the choice of downloading the update. Only took a half day to figure it out.
