Thanks for all the great stuff Scott. This blog, Photoshop User, your books and everything else you do is a gold mine of information.

I totally agree with the choice of bags. I really don’t like the single shoulder strap, though, especially on longer assignments. Check out this post for information on an awesome backpack strap that’ll work on just about any shoulder-style camera bag.

About Canon 50mm 1.8 Lens – I had one for a year and there is one very bad thing about this lens: Construction of lens is very weak, so I have repaired it 2 times and it is again broke, so it is not so cheap anymore, but I agree about picture quality, it is very good.

What I did (and I suggest it to others), I bought quality lens from Sigma (available for Canon and Nikon both) and so far I am satisfied with this lens: Sigma 30mm 1.4 (http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3300&navigator=6)

Just wondering if you will make the pdf version of the gift guide available as you did last year. I tried the other sites and it seems as the pdf version does not exist. I enjoyed the format that I could print out last year…..maybe I need to buy the issue of Layers Magazine???

Hey Scott….RC had two Giotto tripods at the Lightroom Tour in Tampa – I was interested in the tripod and head that your camera was mounted on – he mentioned that he was going to have a video about it at Layers TV but I can’t find it….I believe the price range was in the $400 range for both the head and the tripod…can you provide a link to the tripods?
