Adobe Software Updates Galore
Adobe today announced a bunch of great updates to all kinds of software including Photoshop CS3, Photoshop Lightroom, Camera Raw, Bridge, and the DNG Converter. Here’s what the NAPP members home page says:
In a recent rush of activity by Adobe engineers, there are several major updates to software from our friends at Adobe. Photoshop Lightroom has been updated to version 1.3 to improve Mac OS 10.5 Leopard compatibility, Camera Raw now supports some of the latest cutting edge cameras, and Photoshop CS3 Sports the new version number 10.0.1 to knock out quite a few small but annoying compatibility issues for both Mac and PC users. Oh yeah, and remember our old friend Bridge CS3? Well it’s up to v2.1.1 and sports a cool new HQ preview in the Advanced panel as well as some important little maintenance issues.

Ummmm, every time I try and get the Lightroom 1.3 upgrade it cannot be found. Either it has been announced prematurely or it has been pulled for some reason

Great news on all the updates, but one problem still is still around for those of us on Leopard using lightroom. There is still no printing using profiles.
Give it a try, its fun to watch a great looking black and white shot come out of the printer looking PINK.
Hopefully there will be an 1.3.1 soon for those of us who use custom profiles..

There still seems to be problems with the Print module. Whenever you even just roll your mouse over the 2-Up Greeting Card, Triptych, or User Templates Lightroom crashes. I am not sure if this is a unique problem just to me but I read another person having the same problem. Everything else in Print appears OK so far.

we(the nice folk over here in Sweden) have this one little problem, i just can’t find the link to update my current lightroom 1.2 to latest version! on
adobe.com i can only see the 1.1 and 1.2 not the new update! why?
i’m not a NAPP mamber and living out the USA! am i left behind!!!!

I love your books. Stumbled upon your stuff by accident and keep on buying it as I find it. Thanks for sharing with us. As a Philadelphia Eagle fan I am happy Garcia is having a great year. I would have liked to see him stay but understand why he left. To bad we will have to knock you guys out during the postseason… I bought your book on lightroom because I was curious, ended up downloading the trial to try the things you talked about, ended up buying the program the following week. I know you are an adobe guy….any plans for a Gimp book?
*sigh*…still no fix for those of us who can’t open more than one image in PS when the Windows default printer is set to a network printer. Maybe by CS4…
