Mini Blog

By Scott on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 at 8:56 am | updates.

Hi Gang:
I’m kind of up to my ears here at Photoshop World, so I don’t really have a blog post this morning (which is why I’m posting so late). I’ve got a 10:45 am class, so I’m preparing for the class, and that sort of thing, so I’ll try to ping back to you guys tomorrow.

In the meantime, don’t forget to check J-bon’s live blog from Photoshop World, right here.

Also, don’t miss DVconfidential.com’s daily video blogs from the show, including an quick interview with Adobe VP John Loiacono on Lightroom 2.0 Public Beta, and a video clip of Adobe’s CS4 Sneak Peek from the Photoshop World opening keynote.

P.S. I saw a number of comments, and posts on other people’s blogs who thought my PageMaker 7.0 post from April 1st, was an April Fool’s Joke. It wasn’t. Here’s the link—see for yourself.

I can’t understand a word of the sneak peak video from CS4 …

I’m surprised they would bring back PageMaker. My fondest memory of it was lifting it from the university’s servers back in the days when I had no scruples. :)

Thanks for linking to the peek at CS4. It was hard to understand but I got the gist of it.

Yeah, that’s YouTube video for you. It’s easier to hear if you plug in your headphones.

Hey it was very nice running into you today. I would love to come out to Lake Wales, FL and take some pictures. Let me know when you are going to be out there and I will come. That is where they have spooky hill.

      Hi Scott,

I shall be visiting the States in Aug Sept this year, from South Africa.
I shall be in Pennsylvania and will me touring west to Las Vegas, and the Canyons.
I currently use CS2 and have your CS2 for digital photographers, which I use extensively.
Am going to upgrade to CS3, unless CS4 is not too far in the future, but my question to you is:
Will there be some courses or seminar or any form of lectures on CS3 anywhere near where I will be touring. Thanks Paul

      Hi Scott,

is the Photoshop World keynote going to be uploaded on the internet as a special PS User TV Episode or as part of the Creativesuitepodcast by Terry White?

      Best regards,
      Markus.

      Hello Scott,

I was looking at the April/May issue of Photoshopuser magazine and I like the layout of the David Ziser section. Can you please tell me, by email or blog, how to create those embellishments and how to fit the pictures in them or where to get those embellishments already made. Thank you so very much in advance.

      Scott,

      HELP!!!!

I have read both of your Dig. Photo books and your were right, when someone found out I have nice equipment they asked me to photograph thier wedding. I said ok but, it is at a plantation on the Mississppi river, in New Orleans, outside, at sunset…The lighting has me scared… I have a good flash but I don’t think it’s enough under these conditions. This person holds a very high position over me “which don’t make matters any better” so I want them to be proud…. Any pointers on lighting in this case other then whats in your book???? Change ISO, don’t use a dome, or just run like heck…. I’m shooting with a Cannon 5D, 28-135 IS USM..

      Thanks Dave
