More Photoshop World Post-Show Coverage

Here’s a few sites that have popped up today with post-show coverage of Photoshop World:
First, Jeff Schewe, over at PhotoshopNews.com had a field day with what will be forever known as “The treadmill incident” and he’s got lots of shots of me “Scooting” around the conference (you’ll have to read the article to see exactly what that means). Here’s the link.
Ricky Cheung, over at Define Concept Photography has show coverage and photos. Here’s that link.
The Digital Dog (Andrew Rodney), always comes up with some great shots from the show, and he’s posted them in a gallery right here.
Valencia Community College did a very clever and unique version of their wrap up (using sketches) right here (worth checking out).
One of our official show photographers, Josh Bradley posted some fantastic photos from the event on his blog, but make sure you scroll down and check out some of his personal work. This guy rocks! (here’s the link).
My buddy Dave Cross posted some images he took at the show as well (here’s the link).
Also, the Foto Tech blog had a play-by-play of the event, and you can check out their coverage here.

Hi Scott!
I had a little chuckle at what Jeff Schewe said on his blog about the idea of having races on Scooters at Photoshop World lol!
it looks like you had yet another successful Photoshop World conference too! I wish I could have been there.
By the way, I joined NAPP as of last week and am looking forward to receiving my membership kit and my first ever copy of Photoshop User magazine - in print as well I might add!
Anyway I hope you recover from your sprained foot soon!
Take care!
Good job on the PSW! From what I hear you are worth all raving for it! I really got to make it over the ocean over next spring or so, but it is not that easy being in school and all!
Again, great job and recover quickly.
I didn’t make it to Photoshop world in Orlando, but I’m hoping for a Las Vegas Appearance. It looks like a lot of fun. I think I’ll save up and maybe not buy another lens for a while and spend it all on workshops and the classes offered.
ALSO:
Scott and Gang,
Here’s a video of the Kodak Commercial that was made a few years back.
It is a great commercial that really shows how important photography is.
I believe they only showed 30 seconds on television, but this is the complete video that runs 6:18.
It’s one of my favorite videos and I thought I’d share it with you.

They have a great quote within the video.
The worker tells the kids that the pictures are speaking, that they are telling them to keep me, protect me, share me and I will live forever!
Great Stuff!
Hope you enjoy!

Hi Scott
Great site and work.
I want to wish you better and I am sure that you were not supposed to take the “break a leg” so literally. LOL
Anyway - us guys down here in South Africa would love to get guys like you to do a Photoshop World show down here - dont you wanna think about doing something in South Africa - we are so far and the cost involved are huge to attend a workshop like Photoshop World - also joining NAPP is expensive for guys like us here.
But anyway well done - and continue the good work - your training material is excellent - I also have purchased some of your books.
best regards Raymond
Scott,
I want to personally thank you for an aspect of PhotoshopWorld 2008 that was immensely helpful to me and others, the Portfolio Review hosted by Helene Glassman. Not only did Helene do a fabulous (and under appreciated) job, but having my work critiqued by Laurie Excell was truly one of the highlights of the week.
As someone who has made the plunge into becoming a professional photographer, it is incredibly encouraging to get advise and support from Laurie and Helene and all the other pros who are where I want to be.
Thanks again for all that you and your team do for us,
Steve Pope
Photoshop is my favorite program. It is so powerful. The only downside of the program is some of the functions are not intuitive, but once you learn them, there is not another program that can compare.
Seeing may not be believing. You may never be able to fully believe a picture again. Anything can be “photoshoped” in.
Okay Scott…if I haven’t told you before, you guys ROCK! Thanks again for all the hard work you and the staff at NAPP put into Photoshop World. I’m glad to hear so many people enjoying our sketchnotes…if you take a close look reading them you may have flashbacks of some of the HILARIOUS things you and the other speakers at the conference said during classes.
Just a few highlights that I still get a chuckle out of:
Kevin Ames’ Lighting without lights class: “Let’s prettify it.”
Joe McNally’s Location lighting class: “I turned him into the unibomber.”
“this is too much fun…we should all get arrested”
Tim Grey’s Lightroom workflow “Nothing gets rated less than three stars…that would damage my ego.”
Your 7 pt system class “Recovery is for alchoholics…liquor will kill you.”
“saturation makes things look clowny”
So again, thanks…we enjoyed the great training and all the laughs!
Scott,
I’ve postsed several items regarding Photoshop World Orlando at my new site CampPhotoshop.com. The site is in a beta state but I’m plowing ahead with posts anyway. I trust you and your readers will find my comments of interest.
Hi,
Several instructors at the Photoshop World Conference told us we could download the material for their classes that was not in the workbook from the Photoshop World web site. We could go to downloads and use Orlando as the password. I have not been able to find this download site. Could you let me know how to get to it if this information is available. Thanks! I also want to say, this was the best conference I’ve ever been to. There was so much information that my head was spinning, but I can’t wait to put it all to use. Thanks again!
Cathy
