    Awesome shots Scott.
It feels great to see how people can photograph our country in such a beautiful perspective.

Great shots. Looks like it is the photographer, not the lens ;-)

I love the photos! Sounds like you had a great trip. Makes me want to travel right NOW. But alas, I must wait 5 more weeks till I visit Yellowstone.

What a great place to shoot. I’ll bet that sand could get hard on gear though… Gav

You know, Scott I look at hundreds of photos a day on flickr and many of them are pretty good. Then I visit your site, see photos like the ones posted today and realize that there really is a HUGE difference between a pretty good photo and your incredible photos. Your eye for composition is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your gift with us via this website.

Scott . . . these shots are simply stunning . . . there’s a odd saying that ‘those who can’t, teach’ . . . well, you blow that saying out of the water with every picture you post!! Fantastic!

The last one has a weird compressed effect.

    Beautiful shots.
That last one especially has a very surreal look to it. Did you do any “magic” to the sky or did it look that minimalistic in person?

Love the top pic Scott of the small tower sticking out of the dune - really well spotted and composed.

    Scott,

Long time reader, first time commenter. These shots are amazing! All of your work is so inspiring! Thanks for all that you do. Any chance you could post the gear, settings and PS adjustments used to grab these awesome shots? As a budding photographer I always love to see other people’s work and try to understand how the did it. You are a truly gifted photographer, writer and person.

    Hi Scott,

Can you explain how you made the desert pano. I looks AWESOME. I checked your photoshop CS 3 book and did not see a chapter on how to make that type of pano.
