Welcome to “No Blog Wednesdays”

noblogwednesday.jpg

Hi everybody, and welcome to the first of many “No Blog Wednesdays” because I realize that I really need a mid-week blogging break about every week at this time, to catch up on work, writing, and just hang with the family. So, from now on, all Wednesdays here at The Photoshop Insider will officially be “No Blog Wednesdays.”

But, I’m not leaving you out to dry, because each Wednesday I will have a similar post to the one you’re reading now (written on Tuesday, but posted on Wednesday) with a link to a different person in our industry who isn’t a slacker that needs a mid-week blogging break (like me), so you can jump over to their blog and see what’s up on Wednesdays (Just don’t forget to come back here on Thursdays and Fridays).

Here’s a blog to check out today: PlanetPhotoshop.com

Thanks for understanding, and we’ll see you on Thursday. :)

All my best,

-Scott
It looks like I’m blogging today, but I’m really not

    Hi Scott,

You are no “Slacker”! In fact, I only wish I could figure out how to tell others that I have had enough.

    See ya,

    Mike

Good for you Scott. Quality over quantity wins every time. We all need to carve out space for ourselves which ultimately benefits all those around us.

Well, I’ll still have the morning newspaper to read.

Scott you’ve been one of the most active bloggers - providing useful tips, techniques, links & resources on a daily basis, its amazing. And I do appreciate it.

    Scott,
Well I will miss your blogs on Wednesday but it is only one day. Hey another idea maybe you could have guest bloggers for Wednesday… Well maybe that would be too much work to organize. Just an odd thought.

    See you tomorrow.

Still can’t figure out how you get to do so much anyways. I wish I could do even 10% of what you do. Do we really have the same amount of time in our days? Anyways, it’s a good idea and it’s good knowing that it is needed when the feeling comes and actually do it. BTW, I’m a daily stalker at this blog and lovin’ it everytime. :)

    If so…I see you there!

Scott I am new to all this. Love Photoshop TV by the way. Anyway, I just wanted to say as a newbie to photoshop thank you for all the information you and your team shares with other. It is better to take the time you need rather then get burnt out and have nothing to offer at all. That is a no win situation for all. Again, thank you for making this newbies way into photoshop eaiser and less painfull. Now I am off to sign up for your kelby training! Have a great day all

    Hi Scott-

As a high-head computer user myself, I know (but not always practice) taking a break from the computer and spending it with the family…which is the most important thing to me. I hope to get to this point where you are right now and just take a break from it all. And they say that computers are not an addiction…..:) Scott, it is one of the best decisions you will ever make, and I commend you for it.

Enjoy your Wednesdays! You deserve them.

    Scott,
I was just curious houw you made that cool stacked tect. Did you do it in illustrator?, then import into photoshop? It has so much depth and looks soooo smooth. Please email me or say on here how you did that, OR that could be a cool photoshopusertv or layerstv episode tutorial. Thanks! Oh by the way, did you see my Layers Design contest entry where I had unfrozen your head and you were alive for Layers tv year 3000 from Mars? I made that just for you.

James George said exactly what I was thinking! Please elaborate on that for us Scott. I’d love to know how to even get close to that!

    Scott,

I was wondering if you could tell us how to did the different names of the week stacked on top of each other, with the reflection at the bottom? I really like it!
Have a good mid week break. And thanks for all you are doing for us!

    Scott;
Just started reading your Blog, and have finished Vol 1 & 2 of your “Digital Photography Book” and have enjoyed both. In the second volume, you mention a portable GPS device from Sony that will identify where your photos have been taken, enabling you to sort, tag and more easily identify your photos. I’ve reviewed this device from Sony as well as others from different companies and none is compatible with the Apple OS. Do you have any recommendations as to which device(s) will work with the Apple OS?

    Thanks,
