As previously reported here on the blog with great personal enthusiasm–I’m taking Wednesdays off (here’s the link to a brief explanation).

I’ll be back tomorrow, but until then, stop by and check out the Imaging Insider (link).

See you Thursday!

I think it’s funny that you blog to say there will be no blog. ;)

I was thinking the same thing. Reminiscent of the credit card companies who mail you a paper notice saying that your paperless online statement is now available.

To paraphrase Yoda: “Blog or do not blog, there is no try.”

      Hi Scott,

I was in your 7 point system class this past Monday morning at B&H in NYC. I have forgotten which noise wear plug in you use. If you have a chance could you please remind me? I really enjoyed the class!

      Thanks a million!

      Hi Scott,

I take in advance that is no blog today to post this question and that I’m sure concerns to all of us that love photography.

You had told us that you are real pleased with your Drobo back up device, and I’m one of those that is playing russian…!! because I have not decide yet which way to go on that matter.

First I was going to go forward with the Drobo, when Apple’s Time Capsule came to the scene. I know both devices are good in their categories but as far as photo, which do you think works better for what we do?

Now, this is for daily back up basis, and the projects you are working on, but what about long term storage.

After I finish a job for a client I almost never go back to that files because they concern only to my client, the ones I go over and over again are the photos I take for my personal projects or my family’s so I have those files in an additional external or internal HD, I have been backing up in DVDs, but I don’t trust them at all to leave my archives there (Vincent Versace said something about that one day), so I been asking here and there and most people said that Tape is what photographer need to back up into.

What if you make a week on back up, storage and manage of photo files like you did with lighting?

Thanks a lot and I hope you do help US on that, We all know you know a lot of guys in the field and would be nice to know what every body else is doing for back up and files storage, there might be a constant.

I’ll trade you that info for an “Excelente Clase de EspaƱol”, any time you visit us in Mexico or next time I travel to Florida.

      Hi Scott
I just wanted to let you know that I’m not going to comment today.
I read your blog daily and sometimes comment.
However, I haven’t commented the last couple of Wednesday’s and I’m not going to start now.
I think it’s important that we all have a day off now and then.
      PLEASE ENJOY YOURS.
      (I just couldn’t resist) ;-)

      Dear Scott Kelby
I have read your both photography books and found them really helpful. I would like to translate them to other language and need to discuss details with you. Please let me know how can I contact you? You should have my E-Mail address on this comment.
      Regards

      Scott:
Important question . . . not concerning this blog.
One of your previous Photoshop Elements books (I think it was for v2) explained how to restore old faded photographs to their original luster. I’m sure one your books still demonstrates this, but it’s no longer in the Elements book for v6 (which I’ve just purchsed). Which book do I need to acquire to learn this technique?
I have several older photos from my childhood that have been framed and subsequently been heavily faded by indirect sunlight over the years. There are no negatives remaining. I appreciate the help.

Miles - The Restoration chapter for the Elements 6 book is included as a PDF on the book’s download website. Check the book’s introduction for the website address.
