The most eagerly awaited (OK, even I couldn’t do that one with a straight face, so let me start again). The most overdue online class of the year, my “Professional Portrait Retouching Online Class” for KelbyTraining.com finally goes live tomorrow. After incorporating your ideas and input for other techniques that should be added to the class, it turned out to be a retouching love-fest that was nearly four and half hours long, so I wound up breaking it into two separate classes; a part 1 and part 2, and both parts go live Friday.

Check out the video below to learn more about the class, what it covers, and how it all works, then tomorrow afternoon check out the class itself on KelbyTraining.com.

    Can’t wait!

    Hey Scott,
I’ve got an idea for a new class. How about having one of the instructors do a class on Outdoor Portrait techniques? At the park and at the beach.
Also include packaging and pricing info, gear selection, exposure, etc.

    What ya think?

Wow, that is awesome news! On another note, I thought you used a picture of Matt K. for this blog entry! Look at your picture under “About Scott” and compare them, I have to say congrats on the new look!! An inspiration I think!!

I second Michael’s request for an outdoor portraiture class. That would be the bomb.

This is great news, I have been doing most of the kelby training videos on photography and photoshop. It has help me over the last months build this portfolio www.photoserge.com. It is a portfolio on the city of paris and some portrait. I would have never gotten some of that results with scott’s books and videos

Tks again this is the best e learning ever !

Very excited about this Scott. Having gone through most of the classes that interested me, I was recently considering canceling my subscription. I’m glad you are finally publishing this, as I been looking forward to this class since the day you announced it months ago.

    Scott,

I am just starting off doing photography. I read your Gonza Holiday Gear Guide. I was wondering if you could tell me what the difference is between the StoFen Omni Bounce and the Honl Flash Modifiers. Thanks for your help!

Why the need for crap music playing over your commentary?

What you say holds my attention, always, without the totally unnecessary background noise.

I love everything you do, so thanks for the books, videos, web casts and so on.

    Scott,

I really liked part 1 (one of the benefits of working overnight allows me to see it when it goes live). One thing…where’s part 2???

    Scott,
I have been using your 7-Points since I pre-ordered. Your methods have improved my image processing and workflow; the results are terrific. I’m still working on “awesome”.

Your online Kelby Training is such a great value. Last year, I attended a great Eddie Tapp seminar through the Chicago Area Photography School. Kelby training is always available when I’m ready and I can rerun a lesson if I need to.
The new Professional Portrait Retouching Techniques look like another winner.
You have talked a little about photographing food for your wife’s upcoming cookbook.
Please consider doing a class on food photography?
Would Kelby Training consider a photography class on taking portraits?
Thanks again for offering such a great value.

Been watching it non-stop, today, great stuff as usual. As I watched the ‘Removing Dark Circles’ lesson a little light bulb went off in my head.

Why not use the healing brush with it’s mode changed to lighten? Kind of the best of both worlds between the healing brush and the clone-stamp with lighten. When I tried it, I thought “Ah, I’ve evolved!”

Thanks for all the great work.

Looks great. I don’t shoot a lot of portraits yet but I still can’t wait to see the tutorial. Retouching is fun and it’s always rewarding to see the finished result.

Have been trying to sign up at the site with my NAPP discount but get page error: http://www.kelbytraining.com/?page=napp Even went through the contact us section last week and haven’t heard anything. Just wanted you to know, there’s no way I can see to sign up under NAPP. A bit frustrating as I’d really like to check out your class.
