It’s “Blogcast Palloza” as our industry has spawned a few new blogs and podcasts within the last week or so, including some from well known names in the digital imaging arena, so I thought I’d list a few of them here for you:
- First, commercial photographer (and Photoshop World instructor) Jim DiVitale has just launched his own blog, called “Where in the World is Jimmy D” and you can check it out right here.
- Rich Harrington (one of our DV gurus who teach on the video track at Photoshop World), has launched a weekly Podcast on Apple’s Aperture, and you can find it right here (in HD no less).
- Don’t know if you caught this one, but last week our special guest blogger of the week, John Paul Caponigro launched his own blog (here’s the link)
- Sly Arena (from PixSylated.com) has launched a new blog called “Photo-Resources.com” (here’s the link).
- And lastly, I mentioned that Brad Moore (Joe McNally’s Assistant), has launched his own blog, and that link’s right here as well.

Let’s also not forget all the great bloggers that visit this site everyday.
You forgot my blog Scott
Thanks for the links Scott. More things to read each morning! Looks like I’ll have to get up earlier!
Speaking of cool blogs and websites, you should check out “15 Photographs by 100 Photographers” at http://www.15×100.com and the companion blog at blog.15×100.com. These guys got their genesis out of JPG Magazine. It’s an amazing collective of photographers from around the world…and their looking to add guest photographers!
Everybody’s blogging it seems. That’s great. It’s become so much easier to get content an information that say ten years ago. The work is changing
post the features I’d like to see in new photoshop:
I’d like to finally see a fix to a bug I’ve complained about for five years now.
Let’s say I have Donna’s photos in a folder called “Donna” on my local hard drivve. I open up a photo, add some layers, save as a PSD. Now I’m done with Donna so I want to MOVE HER FOLDER from my local drive to the archive drive. It will move all right, but the empty folder will still be on my local drive because Photoshop hasn’t released it’s hold. Once I edit someone else, I can move Donna with no problem, but if she’s the last one I worked on, I can’t move her folder without an error message.
Hey Scott,
Heard your interview over at TDPS today during my commute – you always have such a great presence and perspective on things. I loved how you gave clarification on why you mention people – it’s paying them respect, not name dropping. What a great way to look at life!
It’s also very cool how you give back so generously with your books – that’s your livelihood, yet you continually find was to give back so generously. For anyone who has not listened to TDPS yet, Scott is giving away two autographed copies of his Photography book Vol. 2 to listeners of the show.
Hey Scott, It is great to have few more blogs to save on my favorites…
Don’t forget to mention http://www.lightroomkilertips.com . I love that blog also.
Hey Scott… Could I ask you a favor… If possible, could you mention one more time in one of your blogs about our FORT LAUDERDALE PHOTOWALK? here is the link:

Thanks a lot!!!

Scott,
If it won’t get you into too much trouble with sponsors, what do you think is the best digital camera under $2,500, body only? I want to take up photography for the first time. So far, from what I’ve seen, the D300 looks best. And, as long as I’m making long shot requests, the best indoor people lens that’s still fairly versatile for under $1,000.
Thanks,
Richard
