Italy Photos, Part I (Venice): Click for Larger Views

NOTE: New photo feature—once you’re at the larger view, if you move your cursor over the photo, a “NEXT” button appears on the top right side, so you can jump to the next image in the set without having to open and close each one individually. If you move your cursor over the left side, a PREVIOUS button appears. My thanks to Fred for adding this!

Great Venice pictures Scott.
I too was in Venice 2 months ago and took very similar picture to yours! Except that your are much better and mine look like quick snapshots.
It’s kinda eerie because I strayed away from my group in order to get different, unique vantage points from my shots and you seem to have done the same thing. You seem to have shot from similar spots. Weird!
Although I bet you didn’t get lost in Venice, at night, like I did.
How can I buy a copy of that Venice calendar?
Scott! These are great pictures!!
Great pictures, although the fact that they are not ordered correctly is driving my OCD-brain nuts.
great photos!!! thanks for sharing them
Awesome shots!
Great stuff Scott! Awesome work!

Awesome work. Love the colors and feel.
Do you ever meet up with local photographers to just hang out? You are right down the road and would love to hang out sometime.
Ciao!
Nice, very nice.
Love the variety of things you saw and the use of the “look down” perspectie of some of the canal shots. I see a lot of “stock” potential. I would have preferred to see these in a straight forward layout rather than the calendar design.
I love the “fake calendar” idea! I’ve been trying to come up with a creative way of sharing some pics from a trip to eastern Europe and this would be perfect. Beautiful pictures as always!
Great photos, Scott.
Any flash in the close ups or all natural light? (I am just starting to get into off camera flash, got your location lighting kit and was lucky enough to get a place in David Hobby’s workshop in NYC next month!)
It would be great to get a long post from your web guy on the plug-ins he uses in your blog. You use lots of great effects.
Welcome home!
Steven
@Steven
The plugin looks like minishowcase. It’s pretty cool, you should check it out. I believe that they have a link to it in the wp plugin gallery.
Hey Scott!
I Love It! I really like the calendar idea, but more than that I am really taken by layouts of each of the pages.
What a great collection!
Jason
Hi Scott, I really have enjoyed your books, your classes on the kelby training site, and your classes at Photoshop World. Glad to see that you have your family as a priority. These pictures are really great! Thank you for sharing with us.

Hi Steven:
I didn’t take a flash along on this trip, because I really wanted to travel light.
Get it, travel light? Aw, forget it.
-Scott
Do they have Tripod Police in Italy? Do you get hassled for taking pictures in the cites? Or can you shoot where you want?
Nice layout and pictures.
T.
Sweet shots, Scott!
Where can I buy that calendar?!
Love the Venice shots Scott.
I wish I had your eye for a shot.
The web gallery used is called Lightbox 2.

Scott –
Gorgeous images! After looking at my own work, I find it almost impossible to believe that my own D300 and 18-200 VR are capable of creating such jaw dropping photographs!
You never cease to amaze me with your images, warm didacticism, and, technical knowledge. These images are perfect examples of how your work inspires me and I’m sure many, many others.
Thank you for all the time you spend sharing your work and skills on this blog. I’m a grateful reader.
