Wow, I love these photos!! It's been a real treat to see these, it just brightens me up!

I feel like I'm committing a cardinal sin for asking this question (especially when you talked about this in your books), but did you use a tripod or were they handheld?

Scott, you have reached the "cult leader" status. I was at my son's graduation and I struck up a conversation about photography with one of the parent there because both of us had our D300 in our hands. And what do you know, both of us are fans of your work and own several of your books!

Scott:

This is not about you wonderful shots of Itay which made me wish I was back there and so I am instead going for a lesson in making pasta from the newest member of our family who is Italian! Not to mention the trip to the Italian resturant.

But with the 4th coming up and the great fireworks I would love to fianally have some good fireworks photos. My wonderful husband generously gave me the Nikon D300 with the Gitzo tripod complete with the Really Right Stuff mount. So if you have any helpful hints I would to make the best use of my dream gift. Thank you so much!

It's always great to be able to go through your great images. They are inspiring. You have mentioned in the past using an Epson P-5000 as part of your travel back-up strategy. Have you ever been able to back up the P-5000 to a small external drive, like a LaCie Little Disk, as a secondary backup (using the copy to USB Device function on the P-5000) ? I have been unable to make this work and Epson Tech Support has not been helpful. Thanks again.....

Hi Scott,
Wonderful stuff as always.
I'm particularly impressed by your food photography, especially the lighting of it.
I know you wouldn't be able to do it 'properly' so I'm interested to know how much preparation was involved in taking the shots and how much post processing.

Keep up the good work

Orrabest
