The Day Before Photoshop World…

Last year we had a number of disappointed people who found out too late that a Photoshop World pre-conference workshop they wanted to attend was sold out, so I’m just giving you a heads up now—-they’re gonna sell out, so if you want to go to one, you need to snag your spot now.
[Note: Pre-conference workshops are optional in-depth four-hour workshops on a specific topic, with a limited class size, held the day before the Photoshop World Conference & Expo begins. Most are $89 if you sign up in advance, but some of the live locations shoot are a bit more, because we have to provide buses, and rent locations, etc.].
Here’s the list of this year’s pre-conference workshops:
- NAPP On-Location Photo Safari (with Moose Peterson & Joe McNally) (SOLD OUT)
- On-Location Wedding Shoot (with David Ziser–shown above)
- The Epson Print Academy (with Jeff Schewe, John Paul Caponigro, and Andrew Rodney)
- Canon Live Fashion Shoot (with Eddie Tapp & Jack Reznicki)
- Impressions of Nature; a landscape & seascape painting class (with Fay Sirkis)
- Building an Electronic Photography Portfolio (with Rich Harrington)
- Channels & Masks (with Deke McClelland)
- Lighting, Posing, Metering (with Kevin Ames)
- Shooting for Photoshop (with Ben Willmore)
- Inside the Digital Photography Studio (with Jim DiVitale)

And their dog….
It’s Jack Reznicki, not Resnicki!
MOOOOSE…McNally…MOOOOSE…McNally.
I feel better now.
If I was attending, I would snag that Vinny V class in a heartbeat. To all lucky enough to attend, have fun!
For anyone who has not been to Photoshop World, I want to recommend it! I did my first preconference last year in Vegas. It was the best money and time I’ve ever spent on my photographic education. I’m thinking of attending Channels & Masks with Deke McClelland. He’s a hard core Photoshop geek genius. If you question me go to deke.com and check out his 101 Photoshop Tips in 5 Minutes video.

You have to hand it to Scott and company, they read these comments and updated the blog ASAP. Class act!
The dog is happy, and impressed.
Hi Scott,
I just wanted to drop a line to let you know that you are doing it right. Yours are the best books written on Photoshop that I’ve found, anywhere. I’ve been a commercial shooter since 82, and I only recently moved to digital. I was overwhelmed at the prospect of learning the digital technology, until I started reading your books. I have only really been using Photoshop for six months, although, after intensively studying your books and now Deke McClelland’s tutorials, I feel that I have a solid understanding of the program. Your style is clear and to the point, and you take the superfluous rocket science out of the process.
I went from almost leaving the industry to being completely excited about embracing the new technology.
Thank you.
