Seriously, I have cooked up something very, very cool for us to do together, and you are SO going to want to be a part of it.

Although I can’t spill the beans until later this month, I wanted to give you a heads up now to mark your calendar to spend Saturday, August 23rd with me (Trust me; you’re gonna love it!) :)

Remember; on August 23rd—-it’s you and me—doing something you’re totally going to be into, so try and keep that day open. More details soon!

    On the 23rd, I’ll be just out of 60 hours of flight, getting from Talkeetna, Alaska to Bastia, France… But I’ll book you nonetheless :)

    To Kingsley: Absolutely—-you’ll be able to be a part of this in Perth.

    To Ivan: It’s not “Lightroom Launch Day” (Well, as far as I know anyway).

    To Alexandre: Try to get a few hours sleep, because we’ve got stuff to do (glad you’ll be joining me though). :)

    To Stacie: Thanks for saving that date; I’m counting on you (in fact, I’ll be dropping you a line off line about it next week).

    To Fakhra: Save that date—the UAE is “in”

    To Ivan: No, it’s not the 23rd. LR2 launch is on the August 28. May be a typo mistake….

    Hmm, could it be a worldwide PhotoWalk with us all?
    -possibly you’re going to clone yourself many times over and send a kelby to a different state and you’re going to do a photowalk with us all.
    I can promise you that Fargo,ND is a warm state from June-August 23rd, so you’re very lucky.
    Besides we know you’ve cloned yourself, it’s the only way you can write those books and be on a plane to a photo shoot while I’m watching photoshop TV on my computer.

    Can’t wait, should be fun whatever you have planned. It’s also two days before I begin teaching Digital Photography at a local college (Have any tips on how to teach Photography to college kids? )

    You’re all wrong. August 23rd is photographers around the world (and there will be tens of thousands) assemble in New York for a mass Tripod day. They will be forming a gigantic ring around the city with erected Tripods (yes I did mean to say that) and all shall be photographing public buildings. Following the demonstration they will all head off home, download the resultant images to their computers, apply copyright marks and then upload them to the web. From here we can all downloaded these ill - gotten images before telephoning our lawyers (solicitors here in Europe) to ask about the ‘Small Claims Court’. Yes I did watch the video. :-)

    I finally thought that I had figured it out. I thought that maybe August 23rd was Scott’s birthday, but that is on Monday!

    Just read this today on the 4th. I’ve saved the date and my bet is on a national photowalk. But maybe it’s a free day of Kelby Seminar classes. Which would be a bummer cause I think I’m going to sign up for a year using the July 4th coupon. Wonder though, how many people would it take to crash the server?
