Tomorrow’s Special Guest Blogger is…

By Scott on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 at 10:46 am | Misc.

…one of my very favorite people in the whole world. He’s the co-author of two of my books, he’s the host of “The Creative Suite Podcast“, his official title at Adobe is Director, Creative Pro Technical Sales, North America, he’s a photographer, designer, Photoshop World Instructor, he’s produces the popular “Terry’s Tech Blog,” and he’s one of the greatest, most genuine, most gracious, and most humble guys you’ll ever meet…Terry White.

Make sure you check back tomorrow to catch Terry’s post, which I am told may include a video as well (ya know those tech guys—never satisfied with just words and pictures alone). ;-)

Will do Scott. We always like videos. You know I know Thursdays are your break, but being in charge over at Pro Photo Show I’ve found that sometimes getting a guest to come over can also be a lot of work. Keep it up…

      Hey Scott,

This is an “off topic” comment.

I have a suggestion for a Kelby Training class.

      Outdoor Portrait Techniques (From A-Z)

      -Family and individuals.
-Selecting a location (shooting at the park & beach).
      -Time of day to shoot.
      -Posing.
      -Equipment.
      -Lens selection.
-Exposure & Metering, (suggested iso,f/stop, shutter, balancing ambient light with fill flash).
      -Using reflectors.
-Workflow and showing proofs to client.
      -Pricing.

      I’m probably forgetting some topics.

      -Thanks,
      Michael

      Scott,

I read your blogs every morning and thanks for taking time to write them. They are fascinating . I purchased the Scott Kelby TD5 kit from B&H and am very pleased, along with the stand and the umbrella. It is so confusing about which lighting to buy, Thanks. Please find someone who uses a SONY a700 and have them blog as a guest. We Sony people feel like we are left out. It’s a good camera.

Love your books — have em all!

Quick question: In Lightroom for Digital Photographers, you recommend sharpening images in PS3 (or plug-ins) — also the same for noise reduction. Can you recommend software in both of these instances? I read the section on sharpening in your Adobe PCS3 book, but was wondering if you had a plug-in (or action) for that, as well. I’m not very proficient in PS and am looking for an easier way. Thanks!!!!

I’m very much looking forward to reading what Terry has to say on your blog!

I like him too, even though I’ve never met him. He seems like a very down-to-earth kind of guy, just like you Scott!

      Scott,

Off Topic, but I know how much of a Font lover you are. I thought you’d enjoy watching this video.

      Hi Scott-

*This is an “off topic” comment, but have you seen this video, it’s pretty funny and knowing how you feel about fonts I thought you’d get a kick out of it!

Have you ever wondered what Comic Sans, Times New Romans, or Futura fonts would look, sound, and act like if they were people?

Haha, I think its funny that the first thing both Mitch (who I don’t know) and I thought when viewing that video was “Scott Kelby would love this!”
