Hi Scott,
Great idea, looks like fun. I’d like to sign up. Unfortunately, even though it looks like the Terms & Conditions have been modified on the basis of the complaints above, they still prevent me from participating. I have an exclusive contract with iStockphoto to distribute royalty-free imagery, and they have confirmed that your Terms & Conditions would violate that contract.

Given iStockphoto is a major sponsor of some of your other projects, like Photoshop User TV, it seems a pity that you couldn’t work out Terms & Conditions that would provide what you need, while not violating their exclusive contributor contracts. I am sure between you and the smart people at iStock licensing you could work out something appropriate (e.g. the right for you to have a Rights Managed license for a limited time and specified, if broad, uses, with no fee to the photographer, for those images that won the best image in each city, for instance). That’d be a great step forward…

Hi Scott!

I popped in on the 28th to sign up to lead a walk in Prescott, AZ. The idea sounds great and I’ve already gotten a good response through my blog, so I hope Prescott gets on the map!

I also wanted to say, the Photoshop Lightroom 2 book sounds great….but….. I just got used to my workflow in Lightroom! Looks like I’ll be downloading the update today, and I’ll be placing my order for book #2!

Thanks for the great publications! Every person I tell about the Digital Photography book loves it, and like me, ends up piling a collection of Kelby books in their homes!

You should sign up to be a leader in Madison. I’m about an hour away and would try my hardest to get there if it was on the list. If not, it looks like Chicago is the closest.
