HELP!!!!!
I recently upgraded from LR 1.4 to 2.3. I had been looking forward to this upgrade for so long since hearing all of the great stuff about version 2. Well I'm finished with the upgrade and the some 38,000 photos that I had detailed keywords have no........keywords. Does anybody have a suggestion or a fix to this.

We can enable tethered shooting (in a very buggy way) through multiple methods. I'm doing OK with the free plugin from Mountain Storm, but its very beta (some would say early "alpha").

I created this video tutorial around my experience:

One thing I would like to see is in the print module is the ability to output to TIF or PSD in the print module, rather than just JPG. I now use the print module as a means of making multi-photo templates to which I can add text in Photoshop, but don't care for the intermediate JPG step. This seems a simple addition to make, since the TIF output option is already built into export.

I am turning to you for 'affordable' help!! I know that isn't a term associated with photography. I started with Elements 2.0 many years ago and advanced to CS. Now I decided to shot 'raw' with my new Canon 40D and as you know...not going to happen with CS. I am wondering if elements supports the 40D raw? I didn't want to spend the $199 upgrade cost for CS4. I can stick with using DPP for raw and export to CS but I really want to stay in Adobe.

Dear Scott!

I´m sorry for my English but I have only learned 2 years commercial English about 40 years ago.

I have a lot books from you. But I do not know, why I need Lightroom. In your great book "7-Point-Systen" you also do not need Ligtroom. I have CS 3 and Lightroom 1.4 and also your books for those.

Regards
Wolfgang

I agree .... only white as a print background! WTF... I send my prints off to be printed at a professional lab... now I still have to trim everything to elimiate and extra white... CRAP! Almost makes me get my $99 upgrade cost back! And wait another year till they get it right.

What a let down!

I loved the LR2 review and evaluation. My first time here on this site and am very impressed with the amount of information here. I noted quite a few of our European and Aussie brethren complaining about the price differences. I would opine that the price difference can be attributed to many factors. First is the cost of doing in business in those markets. What it costs a company to do business in the UK is far more than what it would be in the US. Just off the bat I could think of the cost of fuel which is well above twice the price. Next is the volume of software that is sold in the US verses other markets. What Adobe sells in all of Europe dwarfs in comparison to what it sells in the United States. This volume allows for more favorable pricing in the US. It would probably surprise you to know that a Mercedes Benz vehicle can cost as much as 15% less in the US compared with Germany. In this whole pricing issues I would say that volume is key.
