Mike,
Is there a "wish list" somewhere for Lightroom? The main component of this software that I really have issues with is the very clumsy ftp upload. It is probably the worst and most user-unfriendly I have ever run across.
THanks

as a HS photo teacher, I am in the process of ordering software. My understanding is that if i could only buy one for my students, Lightroom is the thing to buy over photoshop. Also, I wouldn't need an additional slide show program, as lightroom has one. correct?

I have LR2, 1. why my adjustment brush is not working properly? Eg. first I use the adjustment brush, then switch on the graduated filter and when I use the brush again, the brush does not work like before with the adjustments of exposure or brightness etc.
2. Why is my software lagging even though I`m using 2.20 GHz and 3 GB of Ram?
Thanks

Hi Scott and Matt,
I have LR and loved it as it seemed to be a step up from Aperture....but I have been very frustrated with my B&W photos as they seem so flat...I even went back to film...Last week I signed up for a PPSOP course on how to creat better B&W images and the instructor strongly recommends getting Photoshop CS to get the quality that I am seeking of depth in my photographs...I have found Photoshop to be so time consuming and frustrating but went to the adobe web site to order my free trial and that is when I came across LR 2! Can this program fulfill my hopes of having rich B&W's again as I prefer to spend the free time I have shooting rather than hours on the computer trying to figure out Photoshop and all of it's layering processes. I am sure that if I took the time to learn Photoshop, I would sound less ignorant but I am simple girl and want a simple and easy program and from your LR 2 videos...it seems very doable?!

Please let me know which program you would recommend for getting richer tones and depth in my B&W's...
Thanks so much!

I have LR 2, Windows XP, Epson 2880. My monitor is calibrated. The image in LR I want to print is just the way I want it. When I print the picture in LR it does not print what is on my screen. I have followed your instruction in the LR 2 book to the letter. I know the problem is in LR because if I export the picture to Windows and print it, the picture is printed just the way it appears in LR. I did turn off the color management and am using Epson paper and ink and the correct profile. Any ideas, I have been working on this for almost two weeks and no solution. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi Scott-
I've read all of your books and absolutely love them - kudos to you.
I really like LR2 except for the fact that my prints do not match what I see on my monitor.

I calibrate my monitor (iMac 24") and use the drivers from Canon (my printer is a Canon iP4000R), but my prints still come out dark and with a color cast to them.

Have you heard this complaint from others?

Do you have a solution?

Thanks-
Dan
