I have LR 2, Windows XP, Epson 2880. My monitor is calibrated. The image in LR I want to print is just the way I want it. When I print the picture in LR it does not print what is on my screen. I have followed your instruction in the LR 2 book to the letter. I know the problem is in LR because if I export the picture to Windows and print it, the picture is printed just the way it appears in LR. I did turn off the color management and am using Epson paper and ink and the correct profile. Any ideas, I have been working on this for almost two weeks and no solution. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi Scott-
I've read all of your books and absolutely love them - kudos to you.
I really like LR2 except for the fact that my prints do not match what I see on my monitor.

I calibrate my monitor (iMac 24") and use the drivers from Canon (my printer is a Canon iP4000R), but my prints still come out dark and with a color cast to them.

Have you heard this complaint from others?

Do you have a solution?

Thanks-
Dan

Before Lightroom I have about 10,000 digital images on external hard drives. Should I import these photos into lightroom. If yes how should I go about this. The photos are stored by date with photoshop edits in the same folder.

Eagerly awaiting your LR2 book, Scott, from Amazon.com...
In the meantime, running LR2. on Dell Optiplex Gx745 with 2.13GHz, 3GB ram, XP2002-SP2. Hardwire network to ReadyNAS box.Shooting D300+S5 raw.
I am unable to perform more than 2 functions at one time and at times, get a msg of uncompleted export due to 'not enough memory'.
Ready to move 3 systems downline here and add a new graphics station.
I wondered if you could tell me what would be a dream PC right now. Should I change os to Vista since XP only allows 4gb, useable 3 and even less allocated to LR? What is good ram, processor, etc for maximizing LR functions? Perhaps you would direct me to what to read about that? I've been looking around.
Grateful in advance, Laura

Hi Scott and Matt,
I love your talk and pictures. You both are awesome. When I read your books, I always smile because you answer question and thought. I went to some of your NAPP, I always learned so much, not little of course with interpreters. There are some concerns I need to share with you, I am deaf person and many other deaf people really want to know more from your lecture, video , or whatever but we cannot hear. When we open www.scottkelby.com., my eyes are wide open for new information and new ideas but always feel disappointed with video in website. I teach Digital Photography to deaf high school in MD., weoften discuss why cant you add the captioned in video. I hope both of you or one of you read this message, not your manager. smile. Can you change for the better for all of us?
Thank you and I will continue read your books and look into your website and wait for a new change.
Thank you, Lorraine

O.K. It is now Aug.28 and I can find no comments from Adobe as too if they even intend to fix the problems too many folks are having with LR2.
Actually a bit disappointed you have not made a mention of all this. Makes me loose a bit of confidence in you, surely you must know lots of us folks are not able to round trip, sticky sliders, slow brushes, etc, etc.
Enough time has passed since release that someone needs to speak up and let us paying customers know what is going on.
Why would I need any NAPP lr2 training if my purchased LR2 does not function in several apspect?
