Scott,

I always see you using the laptop stands on wedding shoots and I would really like to get one for myself, maybe others are interested in this too. Could you tell us where you got yours? Also, not sure if you are ever interested new blogs, but one I look at daily is jasminestarblog.com her stuff is amazing and inspirational. Anyways, looking forward to the big photowalk.

Blessings,
John Beyer

Hi, Scott. Thank you for revisiting the topic of tethered shooting. I'm a very amateur digital photographer and really enjoy your digital photography books. I try to check your website when I can to see what's new. You piqued my curiosity when you mentioned tethered shooting in your digital photo book--I've tried to find more info on it but wasn't very successful. Your link to your March blog post and the link to Terry Reinert's tips on tethered shooting for Canon cameras were very helpful and it definitely sounds like something I'd like to use when I get more experience under my belt and feel more confident with my photography. I'm so not there yet!

Keep up the great work on passing on the tips, tools and info to beginning, experienced & professional photographers. It's very much appreciated!

God bless!

So in looking at the photo of you sitting on the floor umbilicaled to your laptop, I notice that your laptop may be sitting on something other than the handy little table you acquired from SkyMall. Did you change your platform? If so, what is it? Maybe it’s just the shot angle but your platform looks a little beefier than before. It looks like it's somehow attached to a Gitzo tripod turned sideways ...

Dennis

Now you've changed the picture, comment 2 makes no sense. Oh well.

5. John Lashua - I believe the book is entirely based on the released version. If there are any omissions Im sure Scott will release a pdf addendum just as he did with 1.1

8. Nate Benson - both the tutorials listed for Canon are Mac based.

Scott, this was excellent as I'm going to try to shoot a tethered portrait depending how I feel next week. This really helped.
(BTW, I saved another $9 bux on shipping from B&H because of membership)

Thanks for the info on Tethering. It's important for my food photography. Going to check out Terry's article now.

I wish LR would offer a full tethered mode!
