People here in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale Photowalk) are very excited with this Photowalk. I just got two of my articles about Photowalk published at Ezinearticles.com. Check the blog here: www.paulopics.com/blog

@martha torres What a great idea--to do your own Photowalk! Or even ask a friend along. Post your results on Flickr--I'd love to see them.

In Puerto Rico there isn't going to be a photowalk but i will do one of my own. Right now i have a Coqui in my window singing away, i'm going to try to get a picture of it and post it somewhere.... i'll keep you posted.

By the way Saturday i will be having one in my neighborhood, it will be lead by me, and i'll be the only one taking pictures, but that's ok... im kindof shy anyway, ........

Hey Scott,

My neighborhood in Melbourne got dumped with 25+ inches of rain yesterday compliments of Fay. I'm signed up to do the Photowalk with your buddy Vanelli in Cocoa Village this weekend. Has he mentioned to you whether we will need to bring our SCUBA gear?

Cheers,

Karl-Franz

Too bad, that I just back-out of the Photo-Walk in Seattle, because it asked me to sign-up & join the Google Croup, then sign-up for the Flickr web site, which I already has too many web accounts and and other accounts to remember them all, let alone the junk emails I will received.
Have fun without me you guys/gals.

Yep I'm very excited about Sat.. I lead a mini one photowalk a month or so ago (BTW thanks to Jeff Revell's site for the inspiration) and it was great fun,

@Daniel Francis... Well I live in NJ and we'll having a bunch of photo-geeks walking around Camden, Trenton, Newark or even Atlantic City with a over 1k in camera gear strapped to them is well... easy pickins... like shootin fish in barrel... etc

Thanks Scott.. I'm amazed (daily) about the amount of time and devotion you have.. You rock.. I can't dedicate that much time to being lazy...

I just wanted to float the idea of each city combining the images from the photowalks into photosynths. Microsoft released the photosynth software today. There is a great video that demonstrates the basic idea: http://blip.tv/file/1190926/ The summary is that photosynth combines many photos into a 3d environment so that you can see how views are spatially related to each other. 50 photographers walking through a defined route taking pictures along the way should produce plenty of source material. I am excited to see how other people got a better picture than me by moving up or down a foot from where I took my photo or waiting a few minutes for something to move.

I am a newbie, so I wouldn’t be qualified to lead a PhotoWalk, but it would sure be great to have one in Tallahassee next time. This year we are just going to be trying to keep our heads above water … literally dependent upon what TS Fay does next – might be some great photos in it though!
Thanks heaps for what you and all your great colleagues do, I learn something new every day!
