Available Today: Kelby Training Launches Photoshop CS4 “Power Session” Online Class!

Even though Adobe hasn’t actually shipped Photoshop CS4 yet, you know (and I know) that there are a lot of you that are just dying to get up to speed even before you get your hands on the software, and that’s why we just released our first CS4 online class, “The Photoshop CS4 Power Session” from our own Matt Kloskowski.
Matt designed this online class for Photoshop CS3 users who are making the jump to CS4, and who want to learn exactly what’s new, what’s changed, what’s moved, and how to take advantage of the new features today. You can take Matt’s CS4 class right now over at KelbyTraining.com (here’s the link).
NOTE: Now, when Photoshop CS4 actually ships, the very day it ships we are releasing an entire collection of CS4 online classes and you can see the list of what’s coming over at KelbyTraining.com/online.

I feel bad this morning that Michael Tapes gets 56 comments on this blog, but Matt is getting none, so here’s one for Matt:
Atta boy, Matt!

Scott,
I am somewhat confused. I see your wonderful training by matt and adobe, but it appears of no use till late Oct 08 when the product ships…
or am I missing something.
I won’t remember a thing you guys have up on training…..
Ken
I think you just admire Matt so much you can’t resist posting this image.
(Matt, Fed-X me that $5 anytime you get the chance)

Ken,
That’s so we can drool about CS4 and build anticipation until it actually ships.
Here’s the pickle- upgrade from CS3 to CS4 and gain many LR2 features for ACR, or buy LR2?
Ideas?
Scott,
I sure hope you compensate Matt well for what he does. He is an excellent trainer, his blog is among the best out there and I for one can not thank him enough for all the cool tips, hints, shortcuts, presets and templates that he has shared thus making learning and using Photoshop and Lightroom much clearer and more fun to use.
Thanks Matt!
Hey everybody,
Thanks for the sympathy comments
Ken - We did this for a few reasons. Competitive to be one of them. We want to show you that we’re up there first and that regardless of the date you get CS4 (there’s no telling exactly which day it will ship), we’ve got you covered. Also, a lot of people will look to a course like this (that isn’t just a feature demo, but actual training on the ins and outs of the new features) to see if they really want to upgrade to CS4. Hope that helps.
Scotty - Check out the video that Scott will post on his blog today. We tackle that exact issue.
Thanks!
Matt Kloskowski
I have a very limited budget for my photography. I just got Lightroom 2.0 and now have to decide whether to upgrade from CS3 or put the money toward that lens that Scott keeps mentioning as the one lens that goes from wide to telephoto. There was no doubt that I wanted to get the smart filters in CS3 but I haven’t seen that killer feature that would justify sending more money to Adobe in such a short interval of time. I think they should provide Photoshop and Lightroom upgrades in alternate years. Not every Photoshop/Lightroom user is a big budget photography studio.
Hi Scott,
Matt’s videos rock. I especially like the photo of the coast of Kauai especially since I saw some of the same scene in my viewfinder at the same time. The new Camera Raw tools are amazing, so I can’t wait for CS4 to launch. I have not yet watched the videos of you & Matt talking.
You guys have sure taught me a lot.
Thanks again,
Mike Reeves
