Tomorrow’s Special Guest Blogger is…
…is San Diego’s based live concert photographer, and author of the Sony A700 Digital Field Guide (link), Alan Hess.
I first met Alan when I was doing some tutorials for the Lexar Pro Corner web site, and being a musician, I was instantly drawn to his concert photography (though he does a wide range of topics—not just concerts). Alan’s also a frequent commenter here on the blog, and is one of the first to jump in to answers questions and give advice to other readers, which I think says a lot about him.
He’s got a very cool blog post for tomorrow, and it goes in a totally different direction than previous Guest Bloggers, which is one of the things I enjoy most —that each brings their own style and ideas, so make sure you check back tomorrow. In the meantime, check out Alan’s blog (here’s the link), and be sure to visit his portfolios while you’re there.

Looking forward to it. I do my best to be good concert photographer so hope to see interesting matherial.
Great! I just checked Alan’s portfolio and it’s very cool. I can’t wait to read his post tomorrow.
Scott, i think you should start making more and more friends so that you’ll never run out of guest bloggers. Just kidding! I’m sure you’ll have more friends than i could ever imagine.
Have a great day!
Scott, glad you got yourself those kneepads. Do they make kneeling on the sidelines comfy or what? They will come in handy for the Tavistock Cup next year. I see the ones you got are the same as mine. A tip – when you wear them on bare skin (when wearing shorts instead of long pants), rinse them out in water after the second or thrid time and let them dry in the sun – otherwise, the smell will make you cry….Of course, you could always hide them under the seat of Jeff’s car after you wear them 4-5 times….
You should have come to Jacksonville for the FSU-Colorado game…it was Bowden’s 500th game as a college coach and he was awarded the game ball in the locker room post-game. Due to the occasion, I had to go into the locker room to shoot the presentation, which you would have really enjoyed shooting as well.
Have a great day!
