With respect to MPIX’s framed prints… beware.

I ordered a 12X12 framed print. It came fast, looked beautiful and was perfectly assembled. It also had a scratch on the glass. I e-mailed them. No problem. They replaced it, no charge. MPIX rocks!

Got the new one. Perfect. Took it to the gallery I show my stuff at. Lots of compliments. Looks beautiful.

But… my print is now warping/bubbling within the frame and mat. I can appreciate that this might happen after a long time, but it has been less than 2 months! It’s hanging in a gallery right now, and the reflection on the print makes this warping very obvious.

To be clear… this is not Scott’s fault, and MPIX is really great to deal with…. just wanted to give my 2 cents.

Note: this could all have been avoided if MPIX offered framing WITH mounting. Then the print would stay flat within the frame.

The Flash section has a typo you are mentioning a Nikon 900, but the text says 800. Just thought you’ll want to know.

Hi Scott – is it true that Adobe will not be releasing an update the ACR for the new Canon 5D II and thus forcing people to upgrade to CS4? I really hope its not true, but I would like to find out if it is.

So you have a Drobo at work, a Drobo at home for pics, and a Guardian for your non-photo work at home? That’s a lot of back-ups! Do you automate your backups via scripts or is this just something you do on a scheduled basis (like once a week or something like that)?

ok, this is horrible. i came into work on sat to get a few things done and two hours and $100 later i haven’t done anything.

but very cool. i did order the presentation zen book as well as the strap! thanks scott for everything you do for other photogs. you have sincerely changed the course of my photography.

Hi Scott! I would love your input on monitors. I have set up dual monitors and have come to the realization how different the colors/brightness/contrast are on each. Who makes the best monitors (and most affordable) or is main key not the manufacturer but to calibrate the monitors?

Hi Scott I was reading your list and was wondering is the bamboo tablet as good as the intuos 3 tablet I just bought an intuos and I love it but I debated wondering if I should have bought the bamboo instead?

Excellent list! I am drooling and my wife is hiding all methods of ordering these items. My bookshelf is not too happy with all the new announced weight coming its way today.
