Update From My Los Angeles Lightroom Tour
Wow—what a great day yesterday in LA! The crowd was absolutely awesome, and we just had such a blast!!! (photos above by Matt Kloskowski)
Tom Hogarty, Adobe’s Lightroom Product Manager, flew in for the day to help field questions from the nearly 700 photographers on hand, along with my buddy Matt Kloskowski, and between the three of us, we were swamped all day.
Also on hand was our recent guest blogger, concert photographer Alan Hess, who posted some very cool shots from the day (including a slick pano of the meeting hall) over at his blog (here’s the link).
Matt is picking up the tour next year with his first tour stop being Covington, Kentucky on January 23rd. If you want to sign up, here’s the link for all the details.
Thanks to everyone in LA for being so much fun. I really got to meet some great people yesterday, and everybody made me feel right at home. Can’t wait to see you all again!

As an eager and rewarded member of the LA audience, the information given to us was well worth the cost. The workbook is a treasure chest of information providing additional tips since the LR1 tour. Meeting and talking to Matt and Tom was an additional pleasure. Thanks to all again. Hope your trip back was pleasant. Enjoy Disneyworld.
I was there at the Los Angeles Lightroom seminar yesterday, and it was absolutely AWESOME!!! This was my first time attending one of your seminars, and I loved every minute of it. I will definitely be signing up for many more. I also learned a lot from hanging around and listening to you and Tom answer questions during the breaks, and after the seminar. Again, thank you so much for an unbelievable experience!!

Thanks Scott for a fun day. I’ve been a NAPP member for 3 years, but this was my first seminar. It was a blast meeting you before things got started, and Matt after it was over. All of what I’ve learned about Photoshop and Lightroom has come from your Photoshop TV show over the years, and recently from your awesome Kelby Training site. It’s been a fun ride.
As for yesterday, the class was awesome. I can’t wait till Vegas this fall.
I was there & it was great. I’ve been to at least 10 of these over the years + 3 Photoshop Worlds—it’s always great to go because you always walk away with learning something no matter what. It’s so cool to see how NAPP has grown over the years—hats off to ya’ Scott, great job.
I just wanted to say Thank you for making your way to LA yesterday. That was the first of many more classes to come for me. I can’t wait till Vegas….

Question: when using the print module and saving to a jpg file…. the border I added around the image in LR does not show up in PS3 when I open it there. any suggestions? I want to send these to my lab to be printed as a book and I want that border around the images.
