Happy New Years (from my 80s disco band)

I thought I’d wrap up 2008 with another embarrassing promo shot of my old 80s disco band, Rumor Hazit (complete with annoying moire pattern). Also, dig the Duran Duran inspired hair, the long coat, and the gloves with the fingers cut out. Sadly, this is what we wore back then, and we thought it was cool. I was so wrong.
See you back here on Friday, and until then here’s wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
-Scott

Please tell my you played the Keytar!!
I so wish there were a site (like “ElfMe”) where I could put my friends’ faces in a disco band photo like this.
It’s all about the gloves.
I admire your courage for posting this picture. This is truly one of those “Thank God, I survived the 70’s” images.
Totally Radical.
Cmon Scott!
My dad always said you should never be embarrassed of your past.
Sure that coat, that hair and those gloves are no longer in style. But who cares!
If you had a crystal ball and could see what would be in style now…it would be out of style back then! 20 years from now you’ll be laughing at the clothes you own NOW!
In the end what matters is that you loved, laughed and rocked! You had fun following your passion, which is something not everyone can say!…the rest is details.

That’s just wicked awesome!! haha
Scott - Although I chose to go the 80’s METAL band route and vehemently opposed the aforementioned Disco movement, I too rocked the bolo.
hi!
happy new year 2009
for the last couple of years I’ve been interested in your photography set up, not realizing that you are a keyboard player like myself. Only my legacy goes back to the 70’s with the big funk band with the out front horn players. So… what’s your keyboard set up?
Are those Descente biking gloves????
Is that Arsenio hall in the background?
Scott. I’m translating your book and just wrote the end of the intro to Chapter 4. I’m laughing soo hard that I think I need a new seat.
(But you were kind of cute in a geeky way).
It’s so new for me! Thanks!
Nice information, gracias!
Lol. I am also translating your CS4 book and had to check out this photo before finishing up the last sentence of the intro. Oh the 80’s. Don’t you just love it!
