Happy New Years (from my 80s disco band)

I thought I’d wrap up 2008 with another embarrassing promo shot of my old 80s disco band, Rumor Hazit (complete with annoying moire pattern). Also, dig the Duran Duran inspired hair, the long coat, and the gloves with the fingers cut out. Sadly, this is what we wore back then, and we thought it was cool. I was so wrong.
See you back here on Friday, and until then here’s wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
-Scott

ROFLOL…
You looked so serious! Did you get any chicks back then?
Well Scott, it IS cool. Don’t blame yourself, the bands outfit is perfectly matching the spirit of the age. Though I have some embarrasing photos from myself too ( Like this: http://www.accessible.de/pixelpost/index.php?showimage=476 – check the perm, lol), I have to admit to and besides I have so many fragrant memories of the 80s, so for me it’s absolutely ok, even with long coats, fancy gloves and curly perms
I wish you, your familiy and your crew you a happy new year too.
You look so serious!
Happy New Year, Scott!
Thanks for sharing the photo Scott! Those gloves kill me!! Happy New Year!
You look like a real star Scott.:)
Very Happy New Year to you!
Scott,
You do look serious, but you also have that same intense look in the football photo below. You’re supposed to be having fun taking pics and playing in a band. Where did you get those crazy gloves? It’s really amazing the way styles keep changing. Great work on the website. Have a Happy New Year!
Robert
Amazing gloves!! =)
Happy New Year everyone!
Happy New Year Scott, Love the photo at least you didnt have a Brian May perm or a Rat tail hairstyle. I remember the eighties lots of polyester and the smell of hairspray. I miss chinos, and farah trousers and blokes wearing too much make up.
I was a Pet Shop Boy Fan, New Order and anything electronic, I even had a axe keyboard (Keytar). My dream at the time was to have a DX7 synth.
Now its a D3x how times have changed.
Happy New Year to you, your family and friends
Rich
It took a lot of courage to show us that, thanks Scott, Happy New Year.
Scott,
)
I always hit your blog first in the morning. I don’t think I will need my usual 2 cups of coffee after this jolt!
It’s the hairdos that make the photo! Boy I miss the 80’s. Thank goodness for satellite radio. The long coat is killer!

Don’t worry – our kids will look back at us today and think what we are wearing is so wrong
Have a great New Year’s Eve and a wonderful, happy 2009!!!!!
Courage, lots of courage to show that. What happened to the female? Did she and her hair go separate ways?
Wow! All I can say is: “Play that funky music, white boy”!
LOL! That is classic. I think the best thing about it is that you are wearing ski gloves (Decente brand). Nice touch!
Have a great New Year!
Happy New Year Scott!
It would be nicer if you can post an audioclip of your band here.
Cheers!
A bath-room singing photographer!
Happy New Year Scott
Love the photo, we all looked like dorks in the 80’s now, but back then, so cool.
Scott, you really look so cool as a cutting edge hard rock leader of the pack! Wow,Bang,Bo and how, don’t downplay that look!. Do you remember the film “American Graffiti” what a classic, and what a time, luv it all.
I think it time for you to dye your hair blond, and in the new year just bail out blow out
a new image: Keep the non-smile in your photos, its great charisma towards looking like a butt-kicking digital tripod dragging take no prisoners long lens dye in the wool photographer who drop kicks VR lense without flinching! Just Do It Scott, we are all behind
you. (?). Happy New Year Great Guy of the Photosphere!!!
Worst…….Band Name…….Ever
:-p
Happy New Year!

Dare to share how many hours you spent grooming your look?
Those gloves look sooo funky

Scott, Happy New Year! May God bless your efforts to train, inspire and inform others. I have a quick suggestion for your new site. Why not list Springs of Hope Kenya in your blog links to keep the orphanage in reader’s minds?
There is no explaining your need for repenting of your attire of the 80’s, but it sure is entertaining all of us now! Love your spirit of joy in all you do.
Ever higher,

Happy New Year to you too. Best wishes.
Hahah, that’s an awesome photo!
Happiness will forever be the province of those who can easily laugh at themselves.
Happy New Year!
The best part of that photo is your badass stare. Ooo – very deep – very intimidating and such an oxymoron for the disco
Thanks for another year of great teaching!
Happy New Year
Scott Rocks!
Happy New Year Scott. Or, Hau’oli Makahiki Hou, as we say in Hawaii.
Becoming a member of NAPP and attending PS World in Vegas was the best thing I did in 2008! Mahalo!

Scott,
When you look back at these photos, do you ever think to yourself, I am going to be the best selling photoshop guru of the future? What were you thinking in the photo? Did you have aspirations to be a rock band and make it big, or did you know you were heading into computer and more noticeably Photoshop? When and how did you go from this photo to the photo just below on the sidelines of the football game.
T
It’s amazing how much time and a few extra pounds change out attitudes.
It WAS cool. Cool is a capricious thing.
Same to you Scott … have a great 2009!!!!
Scott, have a very Happy New Year and I hope you make it back to Washington, DC for another training session in 2009.
Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself. I loved the eighties!
You were cool then… and you are still cool now.
How cool is that?
-LT
for this year of very great fun and teaching!
Happy new year or “Buon anno!”
Wow that’s funny. The 80’s was so… well 80’s. There’s partied with themes from various decades, but rarely an 80’s theme
Gav
But it WAS cool! That’s what was so great about the 80’s!
Wow, Scott! I had no idea you were from space.
Rock on!
A flock of seagulls has nothing on you! All the best in 2009!
Awesome pic! All the NAPP staff should post your baby pictures photos and then have a contest to have viewers guess who they are!
Who is the gal to your left..wow!
That’s the 80’s baby! http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldenwreckedangle/3120066780/in/set-72157611410745196/
Happy New Year Scott!
Happy New Year Scott! Wish you all the best in the next 365 days.
Seems your appearance haven’t changed too much though…well i mean, good-looking and…well…i’ll stop right here.
Just kidding. You are awesome!
It’s 2009 now! Happy New Year to all!
It would be interesting to get all the band back together for a new group shot.I suspect you wouldn’t dare dress the same!
Have a very happy and prosperous New Year!
Where’s the audio-links? I want to hear your old tracks.
Happy New Year, Scott! Love the gloves and bolo. Thanks for your website. I look forward to much more in 2009…
Many happy returns!
The 80’s are coming back Scott, what’ll you do then?!
I think the closet I got in the 80’s was playing in a school band.. or in church..
38 tomorrow.. Ouch!
LMAO! That is too funny. I have nothing but respect for a man (you), who isn’t afraid to show off his past – no matter how kitchy it may be. And holy smokes dude. The tie is really the finishing touch.
Happy New Year Scott. You’re tha masta!
Scott – couple of things first I haven’t been here for a little while and like the new layout. It’s great being able to switch between images at top – second thanks for the Think Tank recommendation my fiancée bought me a set for Christmas and I used it for the first time yesterday. I suffer from back issues and having the weight on my hips and not on my back really helped. I lugged my gear for 7 hrs yesterday which used to me a very sore back the next day – today I am soreness free. It makes it much more likely I’ll take my gear when going out!
Thanks,
Rich.
Love the Descente gloves Scott, but they really work a lot better for bike racing than band play! Have a great 2009!
