A huge congratulations to my buddy Matt Kloskowski, who yesterday ran in the Disney Marathon (that’s Matt and his brother crossing the finish line after running 26.2 miles in the 80°+ Florida heat! Click on the photo for a much larger view).

RC, my brother Jeff, and I were there to photograph Matt’s race, and text him with unmotivating messages while he ran, (including a play-by-play of our breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian Resort while Matt was in the middle of his race. I’d text him with stuff like, “Hey, RC, can you pass the maple syrup? Whoops, sorry Matt–that text was supposed to be for RC.” and stuff like, “Man, we’ve been waiting so long in this breakfast line. I’m beat!” and worse).

Despite all our text jokes, Matt finished the race and we’re all so proud of him, and just amazed at his incredible accomplishment, Way to go, Ski!!!! :-)

Congratulations, Matt and to your brother. That’s a huge accomplishment. I made it through a half-marathon and immediately retired from all physical activity. So I understand half of what you went through.–Al Marsh, Frederick, MD (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association)

Congrats Matt & your brother. After hearing that you ran a marathong, Scott lost over 100 pounds last year, and I saw myself looking like a beached whale on a cruise last week, I have the motivation I need to get some of these three spare tires away from my mid section…I hope!

Well by the looks of the picture, at least 4 girls beat Matt and his brother. Oh well… Just kidding of course. I couldn’t run a 1/2 K let alone 26 of them. Funny texts though Scott. Truly mean but very funny!

Scott: I would be really grateful in your upcoming new books that you mention what are the specifications for using your books prior to their purchase.
I purchased Lightroom only after learning that I needed to have at least 1 Gigabites of ram, and I only had 675. Now Lightroom sits on my shelf.

Now I went ahead and purchase your new 7 step systems book, and only today read it on your blog the system is only for CS3, and will not work with CS2! Which I still use.

Please take into account some readers of your work do not have state of the art computers or software as you do. Knowing the specs for buying your books will have saved me mucho dinero!
Now I am a collector of your books, the tech playboys of future magazines.
I can only admire the beautiful images and shiny pages, but not as a learning tool since two books will not work with my computer.

Great Job Matt & bro. Despite the harrassing text messages from Scott, Jeff & RC.

Scott, just finished the DP 2. Another great read filled with plenty of informative stuff. Excellent job! Already took your advice on one topic, bought the Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens.

      Hi Scott!

Pass on my congrats to Matt and his brother on winning that race! Boy do I remember what the Heat and Humidity was like in July ‘04 when I visited friends of mine who also live in the Tampa Bay area.

Hey I’ve just watched your latest Photoshop User TV episode, recorded at the Tampa Convention Center, and I just wanted to ask you about the T-Shirt you was wearing underneath your jacket you had on that day, the one that has the name ‘Mackie’ on the front. Is it connected to that rogue cop from the TV Show called’ The Sheild’ by any chance? I like that show too!

That was a great show you did out there as always. I wish I was there so I could of met you and your buddies! Maybe I will one day when I can afford to come to the US from the UK, visiting those friends of mine.

      Take Care!

Thanks for the congrats everyone! I’m now soliciting ideas on how to get Scott and RC back for those text messages during the race :)

      Thanks again!

Congratulations to Matt and his brother. I was there too. I took a bunch of photos of the runners. I scanned through them all but couldn’t find any of Matt. Wish I would have seen you Scott - I would have said hello.
