Photoshop User TV Goes On “Real TV” Starting Next Tuesday Night, on Fox Business News Channel!

I know, it’s hard to believe (and even harder to watch), but starting next week (on Tuesday, Feb. 5th), Photoshop User TV goes from Internet Podcast to national TV broadcast, as each week’s show will now be aired on the new Fox Business News channel (here’s the link), which reaches into 20 million homes nationwide (none of which will be watching us).

Of course, we’ll still be posting the web version of Photoshop User TV, and the iTunes iPod version just like always, but now you can also watch us right there on your Television set (Freaky, I know).

Same Dog; Same Tricks
I don’t want you to think for one moment that just because we’re on real TV now, that the show will get any better. It will still have the same corny jokes, the same overuse of the word “Cool,” the same Canadian references, shot on the same set, without any real (or imagined) script (or writers, or planning meetings, or rehearsals, or…..well….anything any real TV show would do).

When does it air?
Update: I mentioned this morning that we would air at different times in different time zones, but we learned this morning that we’ll be airing at the same time across the country, at the “I was up late anyway” time slot of 1:30 am (so, it’s either really late on Tuesday night, or really early in the morning on Wednesday night; depending on how you look at it).

But hey—we’re on TV, and we’ll be reaching a whole new audience, who won’t have any idea what to think of us. Check your local cable provider or Satellite service for Fox Business News, and we’ll see you then!!!

P.S. Did I mention we’re on real TV now? Well we are. On TV. A real one. Like the one in your house. Really!

Great to here the good news, its a little shame that it is on so late but I am sure this will only help the podcast and NAPP grow to even larger proportions. Sometimes I feel a little jealous of how your career keeps getting better and better, but then I look at all the things you do and how hard you must work and say to myself “if anyone deserves this it is Scott Kelby”. You the man!

    Scott,

Many congratulations to you and the team. That is a really big boost to NAPP’s publicity I’m sure.

Please keep the format the same, as you said you have. Part of the show’s charisma is that you make it light hearted yet informative. I know I’ve learnt so much from being able to see things done and explained at once instead of just reading. Plus it’s encouraged me to try things out and investigate other photographers such as Moose, David Ziser and Joe McNally.

    Hi Scott,

19,999,999 left. I will watch. At least, I’ll set my DVR so I can watch it when I’m awake. After all, I need my beauty sleep.

    Great Job my friend,

You guys are doing some great stuff! Congrats.

Unfortunately I don’t think we get the FBN channel in Cincinnati, but I’ll put in a request for it.

Isn’t 1:30am 3 hours after 10:30pm? I think my head is going to explode thinking about that.

This is really cool. I’ll have to see if we get FBN in Detroit.

    Congrats!

Congrats!! Too bad we don’t get that channel here in Canada.. Maybe you should try to get on TechTV Canada (similar to G4TechTV therebut way better as we still get Leo Lapport..) Having a Canadian on your show might help..

    Congratulations! and FYI:

The TiVo schedule for our cable system lists it as “Paid Programming” which will require a manual recording for that timeslot.

Also note that if it is on a digital channel on your system, you may not be able to transfer it off of your TiVo. Continue downloading the web and / or iTunes versions if you want them on your computer.

Congratulations to you Scott and your crew. Great news. I never heard of the channel, but I just checked, and it’s no. 130 here in the Bay Area (on Comcast) and I’ll be upgrading my cable package just for that reason.

I thought webTV and podcasts was the new TV!? But what do I know.
Anyway it would be really interesting to know more about your set where you record your nowadays famous TV Show. I mean, how you record, where the studio is located, who´s involved, what equipment you use for editing, who made the studio interiors, if you use green screens and so on. Just an idea for a future segment of your show.

Thank you for a great show!

    Scott,

I would stick to the web version even if it were shown on SKY/Fox in Oz. You guys have made many fantastic moves over the years but an association with Fox just isn’t one.

    All the best

So how much are you paying Fox to carry it? Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Didn’t even know I had Fox Business on my cable.

Good news is that I do, (I think it’s good News).

Bad news - went to set my TiVo to record PuTV- no listing as of a few minutes ago.

Good luck with the new venture.

I have to agree with Ed - the first poster. If a NAPP office ever opens in Baltimore, count me in!

Congrats! Being on TV - real TV - is huge and I am a big fan of Fox. Very exciting!!!!!!

Well that should make Fox’s Nielson ratings plummet (not that O’Reilly isn’t doing his share…).

I’ll stick to watching your cornball humor on iTunes. I can’t keep food down when Fox is on. :)

Just a quick note to everyone — Fox Business News isn’t the same channel as Fox News. You know, just so you don’t go to TiVo it and miss out.

Wow, I work for FBN and this is news to me. This will be the best thing on the channel! haha I shouldn’t have said that!

For those that have the channel, you should just watch it for the on air talent.

As noted above, this will be on the Fox Business News (FBN), not Fox news. Since after 12:30am everything is tagged as paid programming, TiVo will not work by name - but I guess you could set it for the date/time on a weekly schedule. Kudos for the crew in getting the coin together to start making the transition from the blog/podcast world to the television world.

Not sure I’ll tune in on TV as I can’t download that and take it with me and watch ten minutes here, ten minutes there, but if you think it’s money well-spent, so be it.

Hey, Scott, Dave and Matt and the rest of you NAPP TV guys,
Great news about the show going on “real TV.” I’ll definitely be watching. The Fox Business Channel is #223 here in LA (if you have Time-Warner Cable - San Fernando Valley lineup). Contrary to many other comments here, I like the various Fox Channels and find that CNN and MSNBC are much more biased in their “reporting” than Fox.
You’ll really need to get the word out about the show because the Fox Business Channel is very new and many people aren’t aware it even exists. They may have to contact their local cable provider to find out its channel number or put in a request to carry it. Stay “cool”. Can’t wait to see the tutorials on a big screen.
    See ya on the tours!

Great that Photoshop User TV is moving up in the world. Congrats to all. I enjoy the kooky humor as well as the tutorials. Keep on truckin’. I’ll check it out when I upgrade to real cable.

By the way, what happened to the 2nd winner from last weeks contest???

According to the DirecTV guide, the show isn’t on the schedule at all. It shows a paid program scheduled.

Yeah, I second the above user: what happened to the second winner?!?
