Reminds me of nature shooter Jim Brandenburg’s self-assignment, where he shot a single frame of film – no more, no less – every 24 hours for 90 days. A zen minimal exercise in attention and restrain. And he nailed it like you did. Google Jim or “Chased by the Light”. It’s worth checking out.

Yes – it’s exactly as David wrote. I also remember the analogue time where I focused manuelly faster than the guys with autofocus. I shoot two soccer games with one 36-exposure roll in one afternoon – today I have to send a minimum of 20 good pictures per game. But how many are printed?

This was an excellent post. Not only was it informative (I shoot the local Tball and Little Leagues in our small town) but it was hilarious to boot!
