Adobe Releases Photoshop Plug-in To Disable Gestures for MacBook Pro Owners
Today I am the happiest camper in the forest, because Adobe has made me love my Apple MacBook Pro laptop again. They released a free downloadable plug-in for Photoshop CS4 which disables the trackpad gestures on Apple’s new MacBook Pro Laptops. No longer does my canvas rotate 40 or 50 times a day when I least expect it, and my document doesn’t zoom out to a 1% view 30 or so times a day.
No longer do I spontaneously string together groups of colorful adjectives, spoken at a high volume, as my blood pressure attains new heights. No today, there is nothing but love for Adobe, and now for my MacBook Pro as well. It’s a good day.
If you have been experiencing similar trackpad issues (which caused you to temporarily take on the vocabulary of Joe Pechi in the movie Casino), here’s the link to download the plug-in. Thank you Adobe. You had me at “disable.”

I posted the link to the new “disable” plugin yesterday morning on your blog entry about RSS feeds because I didn’t know how else to get a hold of you to give you the good news. However, my post never appeared in the comments section. I suspect that when you include url’s in a comment, your filter hides it until it is approved. Anyway, glad you finally got your wish.

P.S. I just figured it out. I did a little experiment. I use TextExpander to add my closing signature which includes a link to my web site. When the link is included, the comment doesn’t show on your blog post comment section. If I remove the url link from the signature, the comment appears. Sounds like an overactive comment filter in your blog software might be to blame.

Anyone noticed any compatibility issues with Lightroom2 after installing this? When browsing the library I started having issues with the left mouse button no longer working properly.
