My “Photoshop Down & Dirty Tricks” Book is now In Stock at Amazon
Hey gang: I just this minute checked and my “Photoshop CS4 Down & Dirty Tricks” book is now in stock at Amazon.com (here’s the link).
NOTE: Just a reminder—like my live tour of the same name—this is packed cover-to-cover with how to create Photoshop special effects—the same ones you see today in print, on the Web, on TV, and in Hollywood. There’s no sharpening, or color correction, or color management, or any of that stuff that I cover in all my other books. This is “The funk and not the junk, baby!” By the way; although this is titled CS4, almost all the techniques work in CS3 as well.

Looks great Scott. Not in stock yet on Amazon in the UK but hopefully won’t be long.
Cheers

just ordered my copy!
Ah, I want this book.
Ill probably buy it on my next shipment from amazon
Scott I was just searching out some books on lighting and the history of photography… I was wondering if you would ever be obliged to blog a best of all time list of your favorites, new and old, various subjects within photography. We could get some direction on what to look for etc… Thanks for all your help and insight!
I bought McNalley’s “Hot Shoes Diaries” from Amazon and started getting emails from them about ladies’ pumps. I wonder what they will send after I buy this one.
LOL!!!
Pre-ordered mine many moons ago from Amazon.co.uk – gives me a date of May 28 – at least I have longer to look forward to it
Chris
Can’t wait to order my copy! From what I saw at the show, it was Down and Dirty… I mean fantastic!
Gee, I was promised a free book for my ‘idea’ on this book, I had hoped it would come before it appeared on the store shelves? I haven’t even been asked my address? Hope I hear from you soon as I can’t wait to get a copy!
Thx,
Debbi
Don’t mean to be rude or pestering, but I’m in the same boat as Debbi. THANKS!
Ditto.
Ordered. After the Lightroom book, the 7 points system, I can’t wait to receive this one!

Hi Scott!
At first, congratulations for the book and don`t wanna be too cheeky but what about that free copy you have promised in the “idea-brainstorming” session before the coming-out of the book? Please just ask for my address via e-mail if the offer is still on.
Regards,
Csaba
Glad to know that most of the stuff will work on CS3. I had been wondering that. I’ll have to get a copy now that I know that!
Hi

Hello Scott!
I have taken up my hobby again and invested a lot in a very good digital kit. I have also bought all your books but I’m missing one point! Your recommendations and best practice!
When I read Lightroom 2 do I get the impression that you use that SW fro all raw management and also a lot of sharpening. When I switch to CS4 book do I get the impression that you use photoshop and bridge for all workflow management and raw management.
What I would like is your personal view and maybe with some comments on what SW to invest in and a workflow including the different apps. Like Start-(Lightroom)-DXO-Lightroom(sharpening,whitebalance,etc)-CS4-HDR(if applicable)-Lightroom(Printing).
I would like to have the comments in Lightroom when to jump to CS4 and vice versa etc.
I started with Lightroom and got that feeling but when I read the photoshop book did I get the impression you are using that app for the processes you said you used lightroom for.
So please have in your book a best practice and a second choice for management and processes. The same as you have in digital photography. Budget 1,Budget 2 etc
Scott, just wanted to let you know that I almost had a heart attack when I saw my picture in this book. Out of thousands of pictures on iStockphoto you picked mine, how cool is that! It’s a picture of a the jumping dude in a suit opening chapter 2. What a great surprise was it for me! And of course I couldn’t resist and bought the book. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
