Good for you, Dwight. Like I said, they’re great people. I usually deal with Ken, Arthur and Will. They are intimately familiar with all the gear and are great about walking you through what you neeed and don’t need. I swear I get nothing from KEH except great stuff at prices I can live with. I will only recommend places or things that I am familiar with and have had a great experience. B&H is great too, but they don’t have as much used gear.

Took your advice and went to KEH for a lens purchase. Did not know about them. Just received my 70-200 2.8 this afternoon. Needed it quick and their service was great. Be sure to stop by and get your commission

Mike, Thank you for your well written and insightful post. How to get into “Stringing” is not often written about. You covered your approach beautifully. It is a very non-threatening approach as well.

Thank you so much for this well written post. It was detailed and concise, and just what I was looking for. I’ve been taking sports shots (at Braves games) for about a year and a half for personal gratification; although photography has always been a hobby. I’m hating the MLB rule of no lenses longer than 6″ (for amateurs, of course) because a friend gave me a 300mm lens last year. I would love to follow your example and turn this passionate hobby into a small business!
