Quick Photo Walk Update

We’re just a little more than a week away from our World Wide Photo Walk, and the number of walkers coming on board around the world is just getting crazy (which just makes it that much more exciting).
Next week, Brad Moore will be doing a blog post each day with tips on how to make the most from your walk, so make sure you check out the Photo Walk blog (here’s the link) each day next week, as we ramp up to next Saturday’s walk. Can’t wait! By the way—-if you’re not signed up for a walk yet—-do it right now; you’ll have a blast!!!!

can i come alonh we are in uk though ….. http://www.ilifephotoblog.com
Hi Karl,
There are quite a few photowalks going on in the UK!! I ran the Brighton one last year and have decided to give it a break and be the tourist this year. (off to Portsmouth)
So I’m sure it’s not to late to get signed on to one. Try the Photowalk website.
Cheers,
Kris
Hi,
I was admiring the Photowalk countdown graphic at the top of this post (it’s so beautifully done) and I realized there was something wrong with it (please forgive me if what I’m about to say sounds petty).
The graphic, as it stands, with a single piece of paper hanging precariously, only works (realistically) if there was only one day remaining in the countdown.
If there are 8 more days remaining, shouldn’t there be 8 more pieces of paper to tear-off behind the current one?
I can’t wait, this is my first one ever in Detroit with terry white. How cool is that.

Love the cound down logo, what no widget for it on apple.

Hey Scott –
Is Lightroom the only way to upload pics from this event? Are you unable to win if you don’t use Lightroom? CAn we still submit via Flickr like last year?
Looking forward to the walk very much.
Where is the video on how to upload the photos from the photowalk? I can’t find it.
Last year a number of cities had leaders who didn’t choose a best photo. Is there anything in place this year that will prevent cities being eliminated from the competition by leaders who drop the ball?
What are the details on editing that can be done to photos? I’ve seen Lightroom mentioned, but can we edit in PS as well?
Hi everyone,
URGENT! How is everyone going to upload their photos and where and when???
Will every leader decide which image should be uploaded from the group’s photographers? Or is that issue being left to the participants themselves?
I think this is a MAIN issue and to set leaders as well as participants at ease should be dealt with ASAP because I don’t think anyone knows what to do on that matter. Please don’t wait until friday. I have to travel a lot to get to my Photo Walk and would like to know before I leave.
Thanks.
Ray
Well I just wanted t say Hi form Cambodia, I am running the Phnom Penh City walk and have got a full house and everyone is so excited.
Maybe next year it would be cool to have some hotshot photographer come out here and walk with us as and maybe do some Photoshop tips and tricks.
just a thought, we feel a little left out sometimes.
Thanks
Dave
What we are going to do with all the photograps taken? We can choose our best, but I still can’t find anywhere an instruction where and how to upload them….
Please clarify it for us.
Best wishes from Thailand
Am I missing something as a walk leader? This is my first time. Is there a link to a page with instructions on what I should be doing as a leader regarding my group uploading photos and the judging of the photos. I am already getting people asking me about it and I don’t have a clue other than telling them to upload the trial of lightroom. Under the FAQ section it states “The website (and your Photo Walk leader) will have all of the details” …I may be alone but I don’t feel like I have all the details. Help would be much appreciated.
Looking forward to a fun walk!
Kathleen
I think a lot of the leaders have the same questions about uploading. W can only wait patiently to get the answer!
I have another question.. can we add more participants above the 50 limit? Iknow some of the registered people will not show and would like to be able to ‘overbook’ a few ….
On my dashboard, I don’t have your address to your website on my blog for uploading the winning image of my walk to your site, how come? I’ve chosen the winning image but I can’t upload it. It’s already on my dashboard. What can I do? I tried a lot of different things….nothing seems to be working without your address on my blog section.
