For clarity, you right click the photo from inside Lightroom, not your hard drive. :)

Hey W, I used to have that problem as well when I would move photo's to different folders on my hard drive. If you right click the photo you will see the option "show in explorer". After clicking on it you just locate the original in your hard drive and you're done. Hope this helps.

In light room I am getting an error message that states general photo-4JPG IS OFFLINE OR MISSING.

How do I correct this and rename the photo?

It is there but you HAVE TO BE IN DEVELOP MODE and choose CROP ... it is an ASPECT parameter ... so you have to use the drop down to choose an aspect to crop to. This is one of the failures of Lightroom HELP .... jeez ... can't believe they don't include this basic information. It was a head scratcher for me too, but I stayed with it.

I print from lightroom and I'm not having problems.

1.Are you printing from the same workstation on both programs?
2. Is you monitor profiled?
3. Are you working from a laptop or stationary workstation?
4. Are you printing with both programs in the same light?
5. Are you using soft proofing?
6. Are you letting you printer choose the profile or are you using specific media profiles?
7. Are you choosing the same printer resolution perameters?
Every choice makes a difference concerning the results. Double check each and every parameter of you print module as compared with CS3 or CS4 ... to insure apples and apples etc... as far as workstation, profiling, module parameters.

I have found that I need to print sharper that my monitor shows ... but this common due to restrictions of almost all monitors. I have found I need to over saturate a tad as well for the same reasons. I use a macpro and if I were using a higher end monitor this would not be as necessary in all likelhood. Let me know if this helps at all.

I had a similar problem.. 1st make the backup drive mirror the external drive i.e. same folder names etc. and if you have named the drive make it the same also. If your ext. drive is, let's say G:Cindis external make sure that the spare is the same drive letter and name. (you will need to disconnect the original ext. drive. This solved my issue. Hope it helps.

Hi Scott,

is there a way to watermark pictures which are exported through the Web-Module when using one of the Airtight Flash galleries?

The HTML Gallery has the feature in it's preferences but the Airtight galleries don't. Quite odd, isn't it?

Best regards

I started to learn Lightroom sometime ago, then I tought to myself: I already use PhotoShop, so why use Lightroom? I thought that I was duplicating lots of things. But after seeing so many people using it, I wonder if should use either or. Is there a specific reason (technically), that I would benefit from Lightroom more than Photoshop? I use the later strictly for photos. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards.

Is there a way to run more interesting slideshows directly from the slideshow module? It would be great to have a scrolling, or conveyor style (Even airtight autoviewer) to choose from. This would be used in our live tethered even photography where photos are instantly projected as shot. Any ideas?

Hi all. I realize it is WELL past the date of the initial post, but I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this one. I exported to jpeg using a max long side dimension of 3000 pixels. The RAW files I did this to came up at the expected 3000 x 2000 pixel dimension. The dng files (exported to jpeg), however, came up at a very strange 3000 x 1993.

Anyone know why this is?
