re walk: sunshine-coast-ql-au

I didn't get an e-mail either, as per #3.

I also have issues where most of my Dashboard items open into a black square and nothing else; this includes the instructions for uploading our group's winning shot to the main site, so I am getting fairly anxious to have some advice on how to fix this one, as it has the potential to become a severe embarrassment to everyone.

I'm leading 2 Photo Walks in Caracas, Venezuela.
We're ready and looking forward to it. There will be photographers driving some 6 hours to join me at El Hatillo and at Las Mercedes suburbs in Caracas.
I'm haven't decided whether to take my Manfrotto tripod or not.
Its been raining here. Any tip for taking pictures under the rain?

Hmmm...was it 20 pics per photog last year? Perhaps that was a "local" limit as I do not remember hearing about that limit before; I know for our walk here many people submitted more than that. 20 should be more than enough and I could certainly see organizers whittling that down to 10 even.

Cheers....

How many pics can each photog enter into the contest? Last year it was 20. Will it be less now that there are 27k photogs?

I'm so excited... 29 thousand worldwide so far. I am leading a full house PhotoWalk in North Phoenix-PVCC. I told the grill we are ending at to expect 50 or more at 11am and they are happy, haha. Let's have FUN!

Tripod or not would depend more on time of day. My walk begins at 6pm thru 9pm. So I am definitely bringing my tripod for some night shots after 8pm. Lugging it around for 2 hours isn't my first choice but I don't see anyway around it. I'll take my flash too, don't know that I'll need but heck better safe than sorry. I have a photo vest that will make carrying it no problem.
I wish I had the 18-200 lens for this walk....

Basic question but in all the blogs and FAQ etc.m, I don't see any advice on what equipment to bring. Should we leave the tripod at home? Flash units or not? Any recommendations from experience appreciated.

Thanks!
