Great article, thanks for all the good info! I've been holding off on the upgrade to CS4 despite hearing all the great things, and now reading your post and about Pixel Bender, I think I have to do it! Thanks a ton - now I'm clicking around to check out more of your work...

Good catch, thanks! Counting the dozen present when you load the feature, we're up to 40...I guess I'd better lean on devs for another 60+ ;-) - Bryan

Wow - I am very impressed you think enough of this community to give your email address here. I hope, for your sake, that the privilege does not get abused.

Thanks for the great post - looks like I need to add Adobe Labs to my weekly visit sites.

I wish that Adobe would put this much focus and effort into all majors pieces of the suite: Illustrator, InDesign, etc. I am subscribed to Layers Magazine's tip-of-the-day newsletter, and I have noticed a great deal of "tips" on how to get the suite to work like CS3.

Many questions stem from not being able to find panels, or attributes for tools. Others are explanations as to why something that was simple to do before, is now harder to find and accomplish.

With sites like Scott's, NAPP, Layers, etc., it also seems like Adobe has made everything but Flash and Photoshop a dirty, smelly stepchild. While I greatly appreciate to afore mentioned sites, there doesn't seem to be the same enthusiasm about the rest of the Adobe Create Suite. Layers probably comes the closest to covering the rest of the suite, but there is still a heavy focus on Flash (and Photoshop Extended's animation/3D capabilities) and regular Photoshop. I need more from InDesign and Acrobat!

Sure Flash is neat, but once LiveMotion was taken away, it's a pain to use, with a very steep learning curve. As an all-around designer, I need all of the Creative Suite to work as well as Photoshop. More often than not, I have Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom open at the same time, bouncing between programs.

Just one question. Will Adobe finally include a noise removal filter that wouldn't force me to buy a plug-in. I think that the software costs enough even without buying plug-ins for basic functions in photography.
