Fair question. I guess the first reason is because the camera fits into my work as a still photographer. Otherwise I probably won&#039;t have made any sort of investment in a video rig to do this sort of project. This was my first attempt at any sort of video work. 

Also, for $900 you aren&#039;t going to get any video camera that looks as film like. It&#039;s 24 fps and I like that speed a lot. The other reason is I already had a decent collection of lenses that I could use. If you don&#039;t need to trick the camera, and your somewhere with lots of light, all the regular lenses most photographers have will work just fine.

Finally, I wanted the challenge of making something as substantial as this with a dSLR. I didn&#039;t know anyone else doing something like this, so I thought I&#039;d give it a go.
