Hi Gang: This just in——amazing new iPhone App from Chase Jarvis called “Best Camera”—-I just downloaded it myself, and I have to say—it’s absolutely brilliant!!!! (but it’s more than just an effects App).

This is a fantastic combination of features/services/community. Chase has really outdone himself here. I’m feeling a bit sheepish about the possibilities in this connected world that are right under our noses. Kudos to him for putting it together.
Dang, Chase is a marketing machine! Now if I only had an app to tell me what kind of mount Scott uses to attach two lateral arms to his Gitzo tripod then what the mystery clamps are that hitch to his Really Right Stuff ballhead and laptop platform. I’ve browsed through the Gitzo catalog till exhaustion and can’t find anything, now I’m wondering if they are some random Pro-Foto clamp. Anybody? An app for that?

Cool news, saw it on Twitter this morning and imediately loved the app after my first few shots…some other news, you may or may not know, I was playing around in Lightroom today and found something rather interesting by accident. While down in the details panel, Thinking I was in Sharpen, I was actually in Chromatic Abberations while hitting the Alt key, it desaturated as usual, but had hinges of color, I’m thinking its to show were your abberations occur??? Just wanted to see if you knew about this and see if I was right.

Chase definitely hit a homer with this trifecta. Take a picture. Make a photo. Upload for the world to see. Pure genius. Why didn’t I think of that? (bangs head on desk) LOL
This is just another of many reasons why Chase in one of my favorite photographers. I love this app! It does so many cool things, and I really love the community based features of it.
It is rather interesting for me to read this blog. Thanks for it. I like such topics and everything connected to this matter. I definitely want to read more soon.
