It’s Jet-Lag Monday
Hi gang:
I just got back on the red-eye from Vegas, so I’m at half power and still blurry-eyed this morning, but man did we have an amazing time out at Photoshop World!!!! I was hoping to get a few photos posted, (and I will tomorrow along with more detailed coverage) , but in the meantime, here’s some links to cool stuff:
(1) Terry White video’d the entire opening keynote, including Adobe’s “sneak peek” at future Photoshop technology, and you can watch that right here.
(2) To see some photos from the first day of Photoshop World, click here.
(3) You can also catch the live blogging from the keynote right here.
See you guys tomorrow for my complete coverage of the big show! Now I’m heading back to bed.

Scott,
Photoshop World Vegas was incredible! It was my first one and I learned so much my head is still spinning. I wanted to thank you and the staff for putting on such a great conference; I can only imagine how much work it was. After the listening to such amazing photographers as Jay Maisal, Moose Petersen, David duChemin and Joe McNally, I returned home feeling inspired and rejuvenated. Thanks for all you do,
Joyce
Hey Scott! Thanks for the update…looking forward to tomorrows post all ready!
Unfortunately for me, I had to head back home early due to a family emergency, so I left near the end of day one and missed out on most of the parties / classes. However, I was able to attend David Ziser’s Wedding Photo Shoot and a couple of classes. I also got to live blog the keynote with Nancy and Scott Bourne. I can safely say that this experience was incredible and I can’t wait to attend another PSW in the future.
I got a kick out of your countdown timer for the next PSW in Vegas. Right now it says there’s only 4525 days left to the start. Can’t wait.
lol
It was also my first time and it started in the Orlando airport with meeting Vanelli & Terry Reinert. They set the tone as really friendly people and I found that among everyone I met at the event. The positive attitude of the whole event really matters to me and I’m glad to see it’s shared with everyone I met – instructors, vendors, staff, and other attendees. I don’t know how you do it, but it’s so much nicer than any other conference I’ve attended.
Hi Scott,
Thanks for the links; looks like everyone had a superb time judging by all the blogs covering what went on.
Looking forward to your Tuesday post once you’ve managed to catch up on some shut eye.
Cheers,
Glyn
This was my first PhotoShop World and I was able to attend only the Saturday convention floor sessions. The booths were very useful, especially the new aluminum printing and I was able to pick up the show workbook, which is already paying off in spades (no Vegas pun intended). I will definitely be a full PSW attendee in the future.
The most exciting thing for me was that in the span of five minutes I got to meet the authors of the three photo blogs I read every day: Scott Kelby (who was signing photos in the Mpix booth), Joe McNally and Moose Peterson. I live and work in Hollywood so I am not usually startstruck but I was in Las Vegas!
Again, great show.
Larry
I know you are a busy man, so the chance of this getting answered, let alone read … I prolly have a better chance of winning the lottery, BUT….
On your last D-Town TV episode, you said to check your blog and the D-Town TV site for updates on what the new show you are doing will be. I have been checking and am wondering if I missed it??
What is the new show? Is there a link? I don’t want to miss a one. THANKS!
Scott:
Thanks to you and all your crew for a great first photoshop world. Everything was first class and everyone was great. Appreciate you letting me get a photo with you. I am a video guy and had a chance to talk with your video guru Jason S, what a nice young man. Also, met Mr. V, another very nice man who got me into the midnight madness. You’ve got a first class operation and everyone that I talked to that works for you sing only high praise for you. I always deep down wanted to go to PSW, but being in video I couldn’t justify the cost. My wife wanted to go to Vegas, so I said why not. Great convention! Looking forward to the next one!

PS – I am the guy (wearing the Missouri shirt) waiting in line for the keynote opening in your first picture above.
Scott,
My wife and I just got back home to Asheville N.C. and it was our first photoshopworld and we thought it was a fantastic conference and well organized as well. Thank you and your wonderful staff for their hard work. We sure were overwhelmed with information and ideas and I think both of us feel we can do this and have a lot of fun. By the way Asheville N.C. is a great place for a photoshopworld conference, everyone loves the mountains. Have great day and again thank you and your staff.
Otto
PS..looks like we got in Drews photo of folks waiting to get into Keynote as well..
This year was my first Photoshop World and I loved it. I wish I could go back tomorrow!!
I’d really like to see some photos from the Pre-Con photo safari. Will any be posted anywhere?
Thanks,
It was a great show – here’s my wrap post – http://photofocus.com/2009/10/03/photoshop-world-west-wrap-up/
Hey Scott,
I had a great time. I even love my “Yes, I’m a Loser” T-shirt. All those who I’ve told the story to realize that, that incident was right up my alley. On top of the extreme fun I had, I learned a lot from your entire staff. Even one of the reps for BlackRapid.com helped me out when I was stupid and left my Hoodman Loop I had just bought at their booth. He called the number on the receipt, that hoodman wanted if they needed to contact me, to let me know that I had left the loop. Honesty is such a wonderful thing.
Thanks again and will see me again at another, hopefully next fall.
Mike
