Catch my “Mean Joe Green” Commercial Parody

This year at Photoshop World our theme was “Football” (The Game is On!) and during the opening keynote we showed a parody of the classic “Mean Joe Green” TV ad for Coca Cola (with me playing a twist on Mean Joe Green’s role). The parody ad also features Matt’s son Ryan, and it was directed by our own Jason “The Scriv” Scrivner (with vocals by Stephanie Cross). Hope you like it. (Here’s a link to the original ad from 1979).
I have so much to say about how Photoshop World rocked that I don’t know where to start. In keeping with your theme of letting the photos do the talking, I am going to say that i have never seen someone take so much punishment knowing that they were not going to win the grand prize.
i am talking about Terry getting a face (ear) full of water and a follow up slap during Midnight Madness.

I love this shot. I knew something was going to happen but never even dreamed it would be Scott wielding a super soaker. It was a surprise to say the least. I tried so hard not to laugh and give away the gag until it was time.
And yeah… I can now say that I took a blast from a super soaker and a slap from Kathy and all I got was a Midnight Madness T-Shirt. LOL But it was totally worth it. Way too much fun!
that’s a awesome funny clip, must of been fun filming it. need to save up some $$$ so i can make the next photoshop world, it’s one of my dreams it to be one of the guest speakers a PSW one day.

It is a great clip but I really do prefer the one where you duel Joe for the Cheeseburger, even had to do post on my blog about it
Still I think you should do a PhotoshopWorld.EU – it’s so damn expensive flying to the states for it, but I so would like to go

Very creative stuff – the sports desk/halftime, McNally and you…, the coke ad parody… laughed aloud in the office enough people were coming by to see what was up… (not the boss luckily…)
