I’m Launching My New “Photoshop For Digital Photographers” Seminar in Boston On Oct. 26th
I’ve been developing a brand new one-day workshop called “Photoshop for Digital Photographers” and I’m launching this new tour in just a few weeks; on Monday, October 26th in Boston at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
Here’s what I’m teaching in this new tour:
Scott’s Seven-Point System for Camera Raw
10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
My “Photoshop Seven Point System” book helped revolutionize how tens of thousands of photographers edit their images, and in his session you’re going to learn my latest update to the system which focuses all seven points inside of Camera Raw itself. Once you learn these Seven Points, you’ll know exactly what to do, in what order, and why for every photo your edit, including JPEG, Raw, and TIFF images.
Portrait Retouching
11:15 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
This class is the perfect follow up to Camera Raw. You’ve got the color and tone looking good from Camera Raw, so now we take it to the next step. In this class, you’ll learn the very same techniques today’s top pros use in their work to make their subjects look their very best. You’ll learn to keep realistic skin tone and texture, the latest techniques for retouching eyes (incredibly important), and a host of techniques that look hard (but are easy once you know the secrets).
Killer Photoshop Tips for Photographers
1:30 to 2:30 P.M.
Now that you know how to tackle any photo let’s take a look at the “Tricks of the Trade” and the post-processing secrets that will give you a serious competitive advantage in the marketplace. Plus, you’ll learn everything from the easy way to shoot and create HDR images, how to Double-process images, along with Scott’s Extended Definition Processing (EDP) technique, and tons of techniques you’ll use every day in your work.
Printing Techniques and How to Show Your Work
2:30 to 3:45 P.M.
It’s all about the print, and in this class you’ll learn the straight scoop on how to finally get what you see on screen to match what comes out of your printer. Plus, you’ll learn a number of great techniques on how to show your work, including how to create some killer templates to automate the process so you spend less time editing and more time behind the camera.
My Photoshop Editing Workflow: From Start to Finish
4:00 to 5:00 P.M.
This is where it all comes together as we combine the techniques you’ve learned earlier in the day, (with some new ones you’ll learn in this class), so you can learn my entire Photoshop Editing Workflow. I start with the unedited images—straight out of the camera—and I teach you my editing techniques step-by-step, from beginning to end, and how to take your images from flat to fabulous. You’ll learn exactly how it’s all done, why it works, and how to apply it to your workflow, whether your final output is to prints or the Web—it’s all here in the only class of its kind.

When will you be releasing the schedule for the rest of the tour?
Many thanks,
Houston
Wow! That sounds brilliant! When are you coming to the UK?!
Are you coming to Washington with this?
k
Wow, Scott! Sounds like a fantastic day! I sure hope you have Denver as one of your cities!
Thanks,
Dennis
Scott,
Is this only for professional photographers, or would it be useful for photo hobbyists as well?
Thanks!
You going to come to Memphis? You and the gang of the “Usual Suspects” (Bourne, McNally, Jarvis, etc) are about to get blitzed to bring some tours to Memphis. We have awesome photographers and a great scene here, but you leave us out.
Expect the deluge Mr. Kelby, it wont stop until you get here.
Thanks for all you do!
Scott, I can’t wait for this seminar, but it takes you forever to come to the LA convention center. If you would include us sooner, I will buy you lunch, carry your camera gear, help set up, you name it. Please call me ASAP with your itinerary so I can coordinate my time schedule with yours.
Okay, I’ll throw in another city or state. Phoenix getting on the list this year? Or anywhere in Arizona? Please let us know when the full schedule is available, I’m sure I won’t be the only one waiting to see it!
Sounds like a great seminar by the way!
Canada, please please please. And remember that does not mean just Toronto. Vancouver! I can promise a big juicy steak if you come. Hey I’ll even let you buy! LOL
I agree… Canada needs more Kelby!!! Training, that is.
I don’t know how to be subtle but… Please come to Charlotte!
Scott, please tell me there will be a stop in Seattle…
Finally I get to do something cool after a weekend of taking hockey photos.
Wish someone would come to Las Vegas for something other than the big bash. We’d like some one day seminars also.
Whoo Hoo!!! I better get the day off!

(Boston)
Sounds great hope you come to DC.
Can you end up somewhere near Pittsburgh at some point?
I’ll be there at the Tampa class. One thing, I had signed up for the Lightroom class which got changed to this. I only have CS3. Will that be a problem for me? I am thinking of upgrading but only to my desktop, I double
my old G4 iBook could handle it.
Dear Scott
When are you coming to Atlanta? I see that RC is bring the Creative Suite tour next month, but when is Photoshop for Digital Photographers coming to Atlanta?
Sharon, CS4 won’t install on your G4 iBook. It probably won’t be but another six months or so before CS5 is out, that that’s just a wild guess.
Scott,
Please bring this to Seattle!
Jim
Nice. Looks like a good day.
San Diego is getting some love from the Ben Willmore tour and the RC / Cross tour so I can’t complain.
I hope to be at both the seminars depending on my upcoming knee surgery.
The seminars are great learning experiences and all the instructors rock.
Scott,
I can see that people are going absolutely crazy over this and wants you to go all over the states. Thats great, but as Richard O’Brien says “are you coming to the UK soon?” I’m from Denmark and would love to come to one of your workshops so if you come to Europe (DK, UK or others) please let us know (c’,
Hope you and all your readers have a great day.
Take care
Scott,
Will Virginia be a stop on this tour? I attended seminars in Virginia Beach and Richmond. I think both venues were wonderful hosts.
Thanks for all you do! I’ve learned so much from your books and blogs!
~Teresa
