Special “This Weekend Only” Deal on OnOne Software’s Photoshop Plug-in Suite 5
Hey gang—the huge success of last week’s MPIX.com deal really paid off, and we’ve been in contact with a number of companies who are willing to give you guys a “This Weekend Only” special discount.
This week, the fine folks over at OnOne Software are offering readers of my blog $200 off their new “Plug-In Suite 5″ which includes the most recent versions of their award-winning Photoshop Plug-ins:
- Genuine Fractals for resizing
- Mask Pro for removing unwanted backgrounds
- PhotoTune for color correction
- FocalPoint for selective focus
- PhotoTools and PhotoFrame for amazing photographic effects
The suite is regularly $599.95, but until this Sunday (Nov. 22nd) at midnight EST you can take $200.00 off using the following Coupon Code:
PSINSIDER
Thanks to Mike Wong and everybody at OnOne for making this smoking “This Weekend Only” Deal available to my readers!

Great stuff!!! it’s really amazing and useful. In this period 200 $ saved are really important.
How much of a discount for Upgrading ?
On One has advertised this $200 off at least one other time earlier this year. I think it’s their standard sale discount for the bundle.
I’m with JohnS – Is there a discount on the upgrade available? Thanks!
Thanks for the tip.
I have this bundle. Fractals in invaluable to my workflow. I use it on all my enlargements to mpix or apc.
They kept sending me “last chance” email offers to pre-order the suite upgrade for $199. I think that’s the regular upgrade price. So what was so “special” about the deal?
It’s a nice package, but there’s no way I’m going to spend that much for an upgrade. Even Adobe doesn’t charge that to upgrade Photoshop.
Mr. Wong, I like your product, but stop the deceptive marketing emails and lower the price of the upgrade. I’d pay $129 at the drop of a hat. At $149, I’d have to think about it a bit, but I’d buy it. At $199, the decision is easy; NO!!!
Especially the small incremental upgrade that it always is.
I agree with you.
I think this is the standard ole’ introductory deal that has always been.
Too rich for my blood, even with the “discount”!
Their upgrade pricing is FAR TOO EXPENSIVE for for too little a change.
I own plug-in Suite 4.5 (got a great deal on it when I upgraded to CS4), but I really don’t use it all that much — that could just be because I don’t know haw to get the most out of it, but $200 off is a GREAT deal!
Here are some tutorial videos on the OnOne website – http://www.ononesoftware.com/tutorials/
Take a look and see if those are any help
I bought it last week with that deal via an email they sent me.
I love the On One Software and use it more than any other PS plug-in. The cost is relative to how much you use it and how well it works, I suppose. I use it l lot, so it’s cost is spread across a lot of work. The product works easily, quickly and accurately. It lets me get as creative as I want to be. I love being able to stack filters and create my own custom effects. NIK is good, I have it too, but requires many trips in and out of it to get the same effects.
I’ll pay the upgrade price, it is worth it. But hey, a Kelby discount on upgrades would be sweeter.
The special price may still be too much for some but having these companies all want to get in on the chance to give us a discount is a great idea. WTG, Scott.
They’re not giving us any more of a discount than any other. This is simply spread-the-word advertising; the same OnOne has been posting forever. Someone has not done their homework before espousing this “deal”.
Hello
Sorry to post this message here, but I’ve tried to send several mails to Photowalk2009@kelbymediagroup.com without an answer.
I was a photowalk leader for the last worldwide photowalk, but myself and the photowalk winner never received your book.
I did reply with the requested information (name, address, phone,…) back in August and after that sent several follow-up messages but nothing happened.
Can you please advice on how to proceed?
Thanks in advance
Fernando
Man, a lot of negative. I’d like to see Scott continue the bargains!
On One has been hitting us up with this deal for months now. It seems that many of us don’t have the money and/or don’t see the value of the product for what it costs, even after the discount.
I, too, would like to see Scott continue to help the industry in this manner. I’m a NAPP member, and am saving my pennies (lost my job 3 months ago, and can’t get another one – trying to start my own business) to take advantage of the Apple hardware discounts (I’m looking forward to the rumored new Intel chip Apple will get to use before other competitors in the 1st quarter of 2010).
I also need to upgrade to CS4 and Lightroom 3 (when it comes out), but don’t have an Intel machine to take advantage of the software. 15% off is great, but I was able to purchase the same software at education discounts (now that’s a deal) before losing my job.
Would love to upgrade my Nikon lenses that I bought with my 1998 Nikon N60 and still use on my 4-year old Nikon D70. For that matter, I would love to see some discounts on new Nikon gear – I’d like to move up to a D300 or D700 (I’d be tickled to get a D3, but my current skill set would be equivalent to giving a Ferrari to a teenager to learn how to drive).
How about some deals on monitors? Many of us struggle with too dark prints, and having a good display is one of the serious keys in getting good prints to match the screen.
I appreciate the lighting gear deals, but have not taken advantage of them as I cannot stand taking photos of people/events. Too annoying and impatient (both them and me dealing with them). The great outdoors are much more interesting to me, and I don’t need a softbox or a snoot.
Hopefully some of the vendors are paying attention.
Is there a link to the On One site or did I miss it?
I’d also like to see bargains, but this is not one. I’ve seen the exact same pricing at other online stores. It is pretty clear that Scott is endorsing products he personally uses and I don’t have a problem with that, but call it that or offer something you can’t find elsewhere. Not special at all.
Just to clarify, I am a huge fan of Scott. I have his books, use Kelby training and love to know what products/equipment he uses. This seems to be decent software, but I typically do not purchase from any company that uses deceptive marketing and makes misleading claims. That is my personal opinion in this case.
Hi Scott, this a bit OT but until now – I still haven’t received my onOne Plugin Suite 4 as honorable mention incentive in this year’s Worldwide Photowalk……
The discount for the software is pretty good for the people that doesn’t have onone suite. But is very desapointed that they don’t care about the costumers that already have it!!!
Good work for Scoot anyway.
I purchased the onOne 4.5 plug-in suite this summer for about the same price as the current discount. I’ve noticed onOne offers this same price break from time to time. From my standpoint it is an incredible package, an incredible asset, and a great value at this price. I typically shoot events, and have been working on a landscape project. This package has helped me with all the images I capture. I for one am thankful for this price break whenever I find it, and thank onOne, and Scott for making it available to us. I wish there would have been an upgrade discount as well. I would have jumped on it.
Ooooch, I agree with the guy above, “a lot of negative here”. There’s no way I can afford this, but for those who can, what a GREAT savings and Scott did it again – helping everyone out dropping by the site with some $ saved.
You’re awesome Scott!
He didn’t “do” anything. This is the same offering OnOne has had for sometime, and in a lot more places.
Great blog and wonderful images. I teach on a few photography holidays around the world and I will definitely be recommending this blog to my students.
The silence on the lack of an upgrade discount is deafening.
Bueller…Bueller….
Scott , time to speak to the guys at one one , here is a discount link that isnt just for the weekend but until 6 december (I discovered it accidentally)

That was my point. I didn’t want to link to any while Scott’s discount was going on, but there are lots of them.

That one is right on the OnOne website.
Thanks to Mike Wong and everybody at OnOne for making this smoking “This Weekend Only” Deal available to my readers!

I know it’s late, but does anyone still know a $200 off code for the suite? After reading about all of the $200 discounts that seem to have dried up, there’s no way I’ll pay $599 for the suite now – $399 is a major stretch, but above that, forget it.
I agree with most of the above comments: USD $600 is too high a price for a suite of plug-ins that have only 32-bit compatibility and which are not 100% functional with Win 7. I would have expected a discounted offer until OnOne had fully compatible plugins available.
I downloaded the Suite 5 (demo) and have been evaluating the plug-ins with PSCS4 Ext (32-bit) and, after an email from OnOne Software, the 64-bit version of PS. OnOne Software stated that the Suite 5 Plug-ins are compatible with the 64-bit version of PS. My experience says that is not so. I find the plug-ins slow – or non functioning – in many cases. My system and video card far exceeds OnOne’s requirements.
My earlier comment stands. $600 too much. A discount is to be expected if OnOne wants users to wait for full compatibility.
