The Wait is Over: Photoshop User TV is Back!!!!
It’s back baby—Photoshop User TV, the weekly show for Adobe Photoshop users kicks off our new season with more Photoshop tips, techniques and tutorials in less time than ever, with an all-new format, a new set, and a brand new look (and you can watch this week’s episode right here!).
COOL GIVEAWAY ALERT: We’re kicking off the new season by giving away a Westcott Spiderlite TD-5 Studio Lighting kit (courtesy of our friends at FJ Westcott). Just watch the show to see how to enter (there is no trivia question—just sign up to win at the Web address we give you on the show). Good luck!
Also, even though we’ve been on a construction hiatus, we’ve been posting special abbreviated “best of” and highlight shows (including our full-length “Live from Photoshop World” show), and you can watch those on the Photoshop User TV Web site (here’s the link).
NOTE: If you want to catch every episode for free, you can subscribe using Apple’s iTunes and watch it right there on your computer, or download it onto your iPod. Here’s the link.

It’s about time!
Glad you’re back.
Looooove the new format. Punchy, fresh – must be great for you guys as well. Great job looking forward to an exciting series!
punchy is right… right upside my head
scriv, “float like a butterfly, sting like a” video guy.
Hi Scott,
I really like the new PSU TV! The new set and formatting is right on the money. Keep up the great work!
Stephen
Ya’ll seem very serious and more formal. Bam bam, info. No banter. Though I do like the shorter format and new graphics. Well done to the video and design personnel.
It’s like a new sports car, David. Keep it under 60 for the first 200 miles or so, THEN you run it wide open
scriv, video guy.
Is not in the feed yet… Hello? iTunes? Are you paying attention?
It’ll get there in time. This is the SD version, too. HD will be out tomorrow morning
scriv, video guy.
Thanks – loved the show.
Great new format! Love it! It moved along so fast though, I was glad to have the pause button sometimes so I could jot down the tips. Great job though. I can’t wait until the next one!
Allison, I checked out your web site, Love your work.
Once again the Photoshop Guys raise the bar. Love the new set and format of the show. Props to the scriv editing team. Your guys rock!
Great job! Everything looks great and love the new format. Keep up the great work!
This is the inner audio engineer in me, but I can hear Dave’s voice sped up just a touch during the mpix intro. Is this true? Not complaining by any means.
Good job on the format. Like the shorter time, but plenty of content, though I do miss some of the interaction between the guys.
See, when Dave’s not on camera, or on stage, he’s on crack. This can sometimes be difficult to work with but we manage.
scriv, video guy.
This explains so much. So much.
cool show! like the new format… looks “fresh”
Hey! Love the new format! Good work guys!
Good job guys! Love the graphics but i do miss the interaction
Well it’s about time!!
I give all the credit to Scriv for a great production. Well done!!

When are you coming on the show!!!!
-Scott
Slick and professional.
Welcome back! Looking forward to next week’s show already.
John (London UK)
New format is good and more like a mini Kelbytraining class. I like the entertainment aspect of the old format but this is an improvement and welcomed change.
I guess I’ll be the first to sayit – I’m not as pleased with the new format. New & hip – YES! Still good info as always. But, I really miss the interaction of the guys together. To me, the joking and bantering is what I really looked forward to. I guess this format is much easier as to scheduling different parts and putting it all together. Time is money as they say.
I second this comment.
Slimmed down format is a huge improvement. Nice and tight. What Dave said: “More content in less time.” Thanks for the effort.
Yes, pretty nice… i like it !
Have to agree with some of the comments. Its a good show, very professional. But! I liked to tune in to the show for the comedy and banter between you all.
Agree with you and Frank_A above. Miss the banter between the three of you guys together.
I also miss the banter between the guys, i enjoyed the humor.
Great job on this, definitely. Very well done to everyone involved. This is quite a bit neater to watch than before, even though I definitely share the humor! Again, the good show has just been made better.
Hi guys, nice fresh approach to the show
I like the new format. However, I’m sure I will miss the interviews with various guests , as you had in the past. Will this fit in to the new, shorter format ?
Thanks

Love the not-so-subtle nod to the famous “Steam” episode (sign on the set door). Hilarious!!!
This is a LITTLE EMBARRASSING but can anyone recommend a PHOTOSHOP TUITORIAL 101 – I know how to load a photo into PHOTOSHOP but that’s about it!!! I need some help and I know it’s out there somewhere! Thanks so much for your help.
I can tell you now, Berta, we’re currently working on this as an additional segment to the show. Just keep watching
scriv, video guy.
Hi Berta,
Are you a NAPP member? Dave Cross has created an ~excellent~breakout section on the NAPP member site for beginners just like you.
It will get you up to speed on what you need to know first about Photoshop so you can take advantage of the rest of our tutorials. =)
Love the new format. The quick and easy tips are great to use.
Most excellent. I love the look. Kinda like a garage/warehouse look. Isn’t that where most mad scientists start anyway? I look forward to the next show.
Scott and Guys!
Wow! Love the new format! I learned more in this one episode than ever before! One question for us old slow dudes. The ten second segment is great, but I couldn’t follow it very well. I’m new to Photoshop so some of the commands are very new to me. Is it possible to publish the 10 second segment tips in written form to download? Or maybe in the Photoshop User Mag?
You guys rock! Absolutely love the new format! You guys live on edge!
Thanks
Dennis
Hi Dennis:
It’s video. Back it up and watch it again, and just hit the pause button after each tip. You can rewind and watch it as many times as you’d like.
-Scott
Hi Scott!
Duh, on my part! Thanks Scott! You have to love the electronic age!
Dennis
Wow, great show and format. Love it. It went by in seconds.
Not nuts about the Lightroom coverage …. because I think Photoshop means Photoshop. Elements is actually “Photoshop Elements” but you are not covering that.
Just saying.
(not to give you any ideas, lol !)
I think Lightroom is actually “Photoshop Lightroom” right? That makes it fair game for Photoshop TV. Elements doesn’t really seem like their target audience but lets face it… Photoshop is the photographers program these days and I’d argue that Lightroom has become even more so. I for one liked the quick 2 minute LR coverage. Keep it up in future shows. Thanks!
Um. Did you guys get in trouble in class and scriv had to separate you? The new set is great, everything about the new seasons look is. The shows new format is weak. Why such a push to tighten it up so much that is horribly boring? The banter and chemestry you 3 have is what makes the show worth watching. I’d have watched it if it were even longer.
Good job! The show is much tighter now and really moves. The pre-proed segments for the instuction works great.
I do like the new format as far as the scripting and the pace – right to the tutorials. The set to be honest is only so-so to me. I know that tv to the viewers right is the PSTv logo, but its a bit dated and combined with the punchy contrast of the set, it feels dated, circa 1991. Could be a logo refresh needed or just the combo in my eyes.
Maybe you should throw out a logo update in the Layers Mag and give a prize away.
Keep up the good work!
Dear Scott,
Love the new format! It needs a tiny dash more of the photoshop guys trademark goofiness, but I just LOVE the new format! Thank you to all of you that put this together.
As much as it pains me to point out my past errors, this is what I alluded to in my comment on your calendar tutorial blog post from a while back: http://www.scottkelby.com/blog/2008/archives/1662
Thank you for all of the hard work and free content that you and the entire team provides.
Lastly, in that old calendar tutorial post comments, I told you that I’d apologize in person if I ever got the chance. I tried to do just that when you were teaching lightroom in Livonia, Michigan about a month ago. I tried to catch you during lunch, but you needed to run out to get something to eat (imagine that), so I’ll have to catch you next time you make it to Detroit.
Love the show! Keep it up!
-Mark
Awesome new show, guys, from one of your Canadian fans!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS PS User Rapid Fire. I love it
The old show was getting long in the tooth. Way to mix it up !
much speedier pace, almost too fast to take notes… can’t decide if I miss the sophomoric humor and gigs, or like it all serious-like…. it’s a toss up I guess… btw, how are your horses doing Scott ?
Hi Lyle:
We taped next week’s show this morning, and it has a little more of the humor and interaction, but we still kept it fast-paced and covered a lot of ground in a little time.
Look for it next Tuesday—I think you’ll like it better.
-Scott
but… what about the horses ?
(btw all the other info was really good stuff… I’m going to review it at home tonight and try the stuff in the tutorials).
Scott,
I love that you guys are always trying to improve. More content is good! I like it when your personalities pop out a little. I like fast but if I have to keep rewinding because it was rapid pace then it’s actually slower. The set very guy grunge oriented. Is you audience all young male? You guys and the content is great keep it up.
Glad to see the new season has kicked off. Great tips filled show, but missed the fun and jokes a bit.
Are you guys planning a small LR segment every episode as is the case in the PSU magazine? Would love that.
Anyways, keep up the good work! You guys rock!
Enjoyed it – good tips.
When all three of you were at the desk together – seemed like 3 grown mean sitting at a kids desk – the perspective was just off a bit. Maybe a slightly bigger desk…
Then again, maybe a personal problem on my side of the screen…
Thanks for doing this.
I have to admit I too thought the desk seemed a little small and cramped for the three of you. Overall I like the show, but I think the pacing needs a little work. I’m an longtime Photoshop and Lightroom user and I found it almost too fast to absorb the info. I’m have faith you’ll find that balance between time and info.
Doh!! Should read “I have faith…”
More CS, Less BS. Awesome….
….Now just add a dash of Stephanie and it would be perfect.
Loved the new format… but in Matt’s Lightroom segment towards the end, it looked like Dave was sat on the toilet in the background!
Less fluff. More meat. Love it. Thanks!
Just finished watching PSTV 210 GREAT JOB … You guys look rejuvenated. GREAT job can’t get but better as you settle in.
Luv the New set and Format. I too miss some of the Banter, and to be honest it was a little to fast paced for me. Felt like I was drinking an energy drink. The tips came so fast I missed most of them the first time.
+1 for the addition of some Lightroom tips.
Still looking forward to next week though. Thanks guys.
Enjoyed it. Some great tips. Thanks guys! Happy Turkeybird!
The more I’ve thought about it, one thing that bugs me: Please slow down on the tips, especially the 10 in 10. That was way too fast for me to remember any of them other than the ones that I’m already doing. I realize this is a new format, and you guys will tweak it over the weeks to come to make it better.
Great job guys ! Nice work Scriv !
Glad it finally arrived, was getting tired of reruns.
Biggest fear was that you were going to play reruns of the very original Photoshop User TV or was it radio ?, seems so long ago now. ( for the newer viewers, imagine tutorials without video
)
Really professional and what I expect from NAPP (though I do like the corny stuff too)
thank you sir… my team rawks
Great show guys we love the new format..but just one thing..more hand chopping please scott…btw where the heck is the link for the contest on the fjwestcott.com site..it is well hidden…Dave oh Dave
just go to http://www.fjwestcott.com/napp
Looking spiffy. Nice work!
Hi Scott.
I feel I’m gonna be alone here but.. the new format just isn’t right. I mean, I think it’s no longer Photoshop User TV. I think it’s too fast, too serious.. it’s full of tips, yet, it’s empty of “essence”. It’s got no “soul”. It’s… just another “collection of quick tips” video. It’s no longer the show I liked and waited for every week.
The new set is cool, though. I’d love to see the old format in this new set, that would be great, I guess.
Anyways, I guess I’ll have to live with it
Cheers, and thanks for the great work so far !
