Hi Gang:
Here’s a quick video clip we put together about the Photoshop World Conference & Expo coming up March 24-26 in Orlando, Florida (it’s short—-about two minutes), and if you’ve never been to Photoshop World, it really of gives you an idea what it’s like (just ask anybody whose been). Anyway, hope you like it.

Got your great The Digital Photography Book set of 3 for Christmas.Reading through #1 and you state that you would like to see a shot of the Eiffel Tower that was different, if possible because its been shot so many times.

Scott, For me one of the coolest aspects about Photoshop World is the phone book-sized bound volume of lecture notes you get when you register. This would be a great incentive to attend, but those who have never attended don’t know about it. Perhaps you should consider getting the word out. Also, have you considered selling these volumes after PSW is over? This could be a win-win for NAPP and its members.

You’re right that the notes are a big hit! with all the simultaneous classes going on, it’s always nice to know that, even if you miss a class because you’re down the hall in another class, you’ve still got the notes.
However, don’t look for the books to ever be sold anywhere but Photoshop World to paying attendees. Consider that most of the instructors are also world-renowned authors and speakers beyond their Photoshop World classes, and many of them have book contracts, agents, etc. and commensurate agreements/contracts. The copyrights necessary to compile and distribute the workbook to attendees does not extend to general public sales.
Guess you’ll just have to go to the event every time.
Larry, That makes sense to me. I would have Scott, Dave and Matt show people what the book looks like on the podcasts. It could be a great motivator to attend! I know that I am still wading through the Las Vegas, 2009 issue. It is VERY well done, and I appreciate the incredible amount of work that went into publishing it.
I agree with Barney. Have the notes shown on the next Photoshop User TV episode. I’m hoping this March will be my first visit to PSW. I didn’t know about the notes, another reason I really want to go!

The PSW notes are amazing. I still have the books from my first Photoshop World in 2002 on the shelf next to the book from the last one in Vegas. Even though photoshop has gone through some changes since 2002, the basic info is still good and worth the price of Photoshop World alone.
It also makes it easier to pick what classes to go to knowing I have the notes from the ones I miss.
Don’t forget about the pre-con classes as well. Alan and I are really looking forward to teaching the Concert Photography pre-con class in Orlando. It was a blast the last time in Vegas and it’ll be a blast again in O-Town. Hope to see you there!
